I'm not saying it wouldn't be helpful - but the reason they don't is because paint on the roads requires a lot more maintenance than signs. In Canada we barely paint anything on the roads, partly because its covered with snow much of the time and partly because it wears down quicker when we scrape the snow off the

Personally, I'd like one. I have a monitor and keyboards / mice so I don't need to re-buy those. I live in a condo with limited space, a pretty small office, and a pretty small desk to fit in that office. I currently use a laptop that's stood up vertically to save some space. We have two laptops, which has proven

Nope, as per their website the noise is fine. Its only about 1/2" of about 2" on the noise-o-meter. And cooling its about 1-1/2" out of 2" on the cool-o-meter. Please trust that it'll be cool and not too noisy.

Jealous... Banff and Jasper area resorts open in two weeks...

Little background here is that I live in Edmonton, AB. Mean elevation 628m , max 630m, min 626m. Its sooooper flat here. So hills really aren't an issue here. But for those in regular parts of the world I think you just get massive legs. For a fixie you have to use you legs to slow down too - you can't just coast down

Your thoughts have been confirmed. Pro displays are ~2x the cost of consumer grade.

I thought the same...only one version. The rasperberry pi forums are pretty decent if you root through there...

I check cnet about once a workday. Giz stays open for most of the day (in blogview). Xkcd gets checked on MWF as well (does that count as tech?).

I have some normal hobbies, but as far as the more obscure I collect all things Tin Tin related.

5 stars cool. This guy doesn't just scatter your trash with his paws, no, he'll scatter your trash with large guns.

You guys have any good dirt on the google driverless car project? Anything new happening there? Any clue on what they plan to do with it or what their business model is?

Yeah exactly - they're not for people who have one bike.

Because its kind of fun to ride around on one. That, or you're a track cyclist and the weight savings matter to you.

It is McDonald's Canada. Gotta represent.

The best opinion piece on bullying that I've read to date was in the Vancouver Sun.

lots of those type of videos & pics at gawker. Any chance you gentlemen could do a short transfer and learn the ways to find the good filth?

Agreed. Also, I sure don't like to bring trash with me when I go hiking - since I just have to bring it back out with me.

You know, I'm totally embarrassed that I never thought to go through a pro a/v distributor. Just put in a few requests for prices - I'll see how they compare to the likes of Best Buy. I guess that's really the thing tough is the price. I generally don't need pro grade gear - especially since the unit is only on

Personally, I'm quite ready for a TV to be just a display. No tuner, no speakers, no smart TV for me please. Just the display and I'll hook up the rest.

Yeah I think minute physics does a good job of simplifying the drawing as well as spending less time drawing so that you can focus on the material being presented. I think the biggest distraction for the PhD comics is the panning. After that, the lesser sin is the constant drawing. I do I like the content of both.
