There are a number of inaccuracies in this post and I think the misinformation is fueling a lot of the arguments in the comments.
The headline is wrong - he wasn’t walking home, the team was raising money for a trip to a competition. For those who aren’t familiar, it’s common for youth rec teams to stand at busy

I wish I had some meaningful comment but this is just an excuse to post his brilliant performance on MTV Unplugged, which featured almost all of Older. Lush vocals and tight harmonies. He is deeply missed.

Thanks but you didn’t actually answer any of my questions. I never attempted to explain anything to you, much less how Root/ Kinja works. I didn’t call you stupid or speak down to you. In fact, I tried to engage in a polite, thoughtful discussion. You chose to deflect and respond in anger. You can post what you like,

A sincere question : what do you get out of writing a comment like this? What does it do to you or for you to read a raw account of a man’s loss and fear and hurt and distill it down to (perceived) naivete and irresponsibility?
What reaction did you hope to elicit and how does it contribute to the Root / Kinja

Is she in charge of seasoning chicken?

I’m a big fan of Aldi, though now that a Trader Joe’s has opened very close to me I find myself splitting my time between the two.
Co-sign on the cheeses. I just had a party and made a huge cheese, meat and fruit platter for dirt cheap. I was alomst (almost) embarassed to go throuhg the line with 11 cheeses and 6

Couldn’t really tell you what Love Island is, for instance.

I definitely bite and spit when i’m alone, but for making pie, jam, or giving fresh cherries to small children, a pitter is preferred

Instead of taking a long break, try more frequent “ergobreaks”. I like the 20-20-20 rule - every 20 minutes stand up and look 20 feet away for 20 seconds. I use the Protect Your Vision plugin to keep track of the time. I use a headset so i can often stand for the 20 seconds without interrupting the conversation.

I’m so glad i’m not the only one watching this! The single best part of this show is vocal coach producer Tim Davis, because he has no patience for amateurs. Like, when he has to correct someone for a third time you can literally watch him take a deep breath to keep from screaming and eyes glaze over like he’s

Never caused a problem for me. yet.

Co-sign on Ikea’s Elderflower Syrup. When I have parties I make a huge batch of mocktail with elderflower syrup, mint, and lime. For those that do want to imbibe there are bottles of gin and vodka on the side, but everyone’s drink looks the same so no “you aren’t drinking? you need a cocktail!” pressure.

ooo ooo, tag me in!

@TadBravo is correct. Your “solution” of raising the arms and desk higher will force the shoulders into a shrugging position, causing strain on the neck, shoulders, and upper back. Instead of floating, the forearms will rest on the hard edge of the desk, compressing the veins and restricting blood flow to the hands.

yessss, I will be making this this weekend! Looks delish. I never thought to use Thai iced tea but I do often add chai spice and cooconut creamer to my french toast batter. Yummy.

omg, I never understood why his face was so upsetting until this moment. you’ve hit the nail on the too-big head.

I bought a condo, ya’ll! Partly in thanks to the advice from LH I was able to save the down payment (though I kind of failed at haggling in the long run because I took a slightly higher interest rate to work with a lender I trusted /liked more).

I have a 403(b) through my employer that has a healthy match (2 to 1 matching up to 5%, for a 15% total contribution monthly), but I also have a rollover IRA from a previous employer that has been lying fallow for years. Should I contribute more to the 403(b) over the match cap, or finally start contributing to the

I’d read an article a few months ago about there was supposed to be a tick boom this year, but didn’t think much of it. Then I listened yesterday to Radiolab’s AlpaGal episode and ya’ll, I am terrified.

There are few things I enjoy more than a thick, medium rare steak or a slow-roasted pernil. If a tick bite ever

Nah, more like a Costco membership card photo.
