I remember watching about 15 minutes of “The Day After” when it aired and I had nightmares for months.

It’s Jóhann Jóhannsson! He did the music for Prisoners (Denis Villeneuve), Sicario, Arrival and Theory of Everything. He’s also doing the score for the new Blade Runner (also Denis Villeneuve).

Clint Mansel and the Kronos Quartet are great at this as well and have done many of Aronofsky’s films. I’m glad Aronofsky’s returning to his psycho-thriller roots after whatever Noah was.

yeah my new fav soundtrack is from Under the Skin. Woman composer, and when Trent Reznor thinks you’re score is unsettling, you know you are killing it.

Pizzicato = plucking your nerve spaghetti. I once accompanied a sweet horse through a neurectomy, and the vet presented me with the nerve in a ziploc snack bag. Looked like a rice noodle. I watched the trailer and still can’t suss the film’s thesis. But it looks ‘scary.’

I am anxiety-prone in general but every time I get a NYT or WaPo alert on my phone the all consuming dread I feel is becoming exhausting. It is literally taking a toll on my sleep, on my marriage and on my general well being.

I CANNOT wait to wake up to the spin placed on this vote. Just days ago they gave McCain a standing ovation when entering the hall, gave him the last vote to discuss the repeal and a round of applause after his vote. I cannot wait for Heir Cheeto to vilify him. It’ll demonstrate that NO ONE IS SAFE!

I agree. It would’ve been easy for him to vote along party lines, and he didn’t. His record isn’t great, as has been well publicized. He has history with Trump, and I’m glad he voted no. He doesn’t have long, at least he walked away with his finger in the air.

This was McCain’s “fuck you” to Trump as he walks out the door. Nothing more.
