There were two reality competition shows that I loved but only lasted 2-3 seasons on Bravo- Shear Genius (hair styling) and Work of Art (artists). They were great showing the creative process; there was a little of the annoying drama, but they were really entertaining. I think they were axed when the Real Housewives

I’ll always watch this show because I was a designer for 22 years, and it’s very interesting to see how the contestants work creatively under pressure. However (and it’s a big However), I don’t like how they now have most challenges with only one day working time. I know that time crunch = maximum drama, especially

Claire responded to any criticism from the judges with a dismissive “Fair enough”. So glad I won’t have to see her or her twin again.

YES!!

It makes me laugh how they have challenges based on sponsor’s products, from Dixie Cups to cars to Glade Plug-In air fresheners. Somehow Tim is very good at presenting the challenges as logical and dignified. He is worth whatever they pay him.

It pissed me off that the judges didn’t seem to understand the rules of the competition, and that Tim had to remind everyone about what was & wasn’t allowed. The judges seemed positively gleeful about having a conflict among the contestants to dig up. This is the kind of thing that I hate about reality shows- there

I often hear the same excuse when I ask a guy why he broke up with an ex- “The bitch was crazy”. This usually means that she didn’t hold back her feelings and called him on unacceptable behavior, so she MUST be crazy. I’m tired of women being labeled “crazy” for telling someone how they feel. There are definitely

You beat me to it. I thought the exact same thing. Both women were hired to do a job, period. Be angry with the advertising teams and the companies that thought these were good ads.

I had a 5-week internship at her design studio in NYC way back in the summer of 1990 (I was a design student at Parsons, between sophomore & junior years). I was incredibly intimidated, because at that time she still had some buzz on her brand, and the internship was a plum gig.

This series has not aged well (for me, anyway).

Yes, give him a sock. But first, put a few D-batteries in it, and when you give it to him, lob it as hard as you can at his pointy little head.

Good point re: POS POTUS loathing. I hate him with the heat of a thousand suns. I think if she’d picked any other celebrity she wanted to look like, we probably wouldn’t be having the conversation! I have noticed in general that Jezebel articles dealing with plastic surgery have overwhelmingly negative reactions.

I hope you’re all clear of cancer now, and life keeps getting better for you!

It really isn’t the time to politicize this issue, people.

Anyone else remember Ms. 45 (Abel Ferrara, 1981)? Another rape revenge movie. It’s pretty brutal. Re: Stephen King rape scenes in books/ movies/ TV, there was an adaptation of Big Driver on Lifetime not too long ago. It starred Maria Bello, and was pretty well done. Ms. 45 is way more violent, but there was something

In answer to the revolting question “What are those weird little crumbly things on his face???”, I would like to cast my vote as FALLEN COKE BOOGERS.

Has Ivanka written anything over her twitter about this horrible situation? I’m ok with Kim putting this on twitter; she has millions of followers, and it could have a positive effect.

True. I used to have to travel to Ohio about every 6 weeks because the home office of the company I worked for was located there. Very white. Very unfriendly. I have no doubt they would feel this way about confederates.

Southern pride in OHIO? These people are fucking ridiculous.

Paul Ryan held up a postcard on TV today.
