Very well said. In the end anything a “robot” does is down to human intent or oversight (software bugs, improper procedure, etc) just like any other machine we build & operate.

Yup, love my 7506s

Good luck with that plan Alex ;)

Great article! Many of my best friends are people I've met over the years who share the obsession with various mechanical money pits.

I had one of those! Bought it for $20 and drove it through the bush on our property. Power mode for 1-4, then "5th" was selected by backing off the throttle a bit and slamming the (non-synchronized) transfer case into Economy. Had a lot of fun in that little car.

Absolutely!

Sounds like a recipe for adventure! Have fun out there

Well played sir

Absolutely. I'm a huge fan of pre-loved cars in general and high end cars in particular. I am still amazed by the reactions people have to these cars, especially when they're driving a brand new "normal" car that cost more than my "fancy" car.

Sounds great to me! Meanwhile my wife thinks it isn't enough of a truck and she likes her 08 better.

This! I love my RS4, it is amazing how quickly you get used to having 420hp on tap though. With high flow cats and a mid pipe the sound of the V8 at 8k rpm is absolutely intoxicating.

I save every receipt because I use them to track gas mileage. Just write the odo reading on each receipt then every now and then throw them into a spreadsheet & I can accurately calculate average mileage, e.etcet

Huge fan of Martyn Ashton! Be sure to check out the sequel also with Danny MacAskill & Chriss Akrigg

Spot on Doug.

Penn Can Mall in Cicero NY is now driversvillage.com

What the RS4 avant needs (besides to be brought to the US) is forced induction and a manual gearbox. Until that happens I'll stick with my B7 thanks (and think seriously about supercharging it...)

Having recently driven a 2.0 tdi amarok, I very much doubt the little oil-burner would appreciate being asked to roll those donuts around. Even in a stock "truck" on flat ground if you find yourself in the wrong gear (like waiting too long to downshift when approaching a light and still being in 3rd when it gies
