Congratulations, you’ve hit into the core of all reality television.

They’re not. The point of multiple brake lights is visibility and redundancy. Relying on one high-mounted brake light while hazards are one has no redundancy. Killing one brake light for signalling has only one redundancy. Brake lights are essential to safe operation a vehicle and this design is not optimal. With how

The article about the 20 year old Camry spoke to me more - both as an automotive enthusiast and commoner.

Besides Torch and Matt, is there anyone left at Jalopnik that actually likes cars?

Huh?  They have the same tailights.  they changed them for 2000.

I feel like it needs to be said over and over again- there’s nothing wrong with unexciting cars. Generally speaking you want a car that’s not exciting for daily driving, which is what 99% of us do every day.

How original.

I drove a ‘98 CE until 300 000kms and was so impressed I bought another ‘98 LE and drove that one to 300 000km then sold it in 2012 I believe.

Two door will be an option. They need 4 door models to generate the volume to be able to sell 2 door models.

There’s also going to be a 2 door version too.

Thanks for this, I think this is the car I saw in the liberty walk revving incident video that I couldn’t place!

Cars and Coffee, Houston.  Tokyo Dork edition.

While sad, let’s all remember two human beings died as a result of this explosion. Let us all remember that lives are more valuable than things (no matter how irreplaceable).

WARNING! -> hot take!

Sad, sure. But it’s a good reminder that these are just cars. One second they’re something you’ll fret over, keep from getting scratched, worry about rain, salt, too many miles, keep in a “collection” then the next second they are a pile of crap at a scrapyard auction. Makes all the worrying seem silly.

So . . . the goal was to provoke everyone until some shit went down? Mission accomplished, I guess.

1320 tends to cover more organized street race events than burnouts out of a car park in broad day light with hundreds of “civilians” in cars and lining the sidewalks.

Sure the cars are/were nice but the most important thing here is that two people won’t be going home to their families tonight. Workplace safety is paramount to cars.
