Not a lot, really.  Turned an unused studio into an office.  Spouse, however, has built an adult tree house for us.  As well as a few other changes/improvements to the backyard.  Looks like closets and clothes not worn for a year or I don’t like need to get moved out.

It used to be really easy to install the google play store on a fire tablet and you can’t beat them for the price if you’re mainly interested in a media streaming device. otherwise I agree with you.

Sideload Google Play Store, no real effort, and works transparently... gMail, etc, etc

For $80 delivered I got a new Amazon Fire HD10, side-loaded Google PlayStore... I do any real work on my laptops, so this is just fine for media consumption and checking emails and the like - for ¼ price of a decent Samsung tablet...

This.  I love my FireTablet with Google play and all of the Google apps. 

It’s extremely easy to get the Play Store on a Fire tablet. Just requires sideloading a few apps. You can even use launcher so you never have to see the standard screens though it’s a little clunky.

Yeah man, but the point is that OneDrive is also bundled with Office 365, for a lower total price. As in: $7/mo for 1TB OneDrive, or $6/mo for Office 365 with 1TB OneDrive included. $5/mo for the same thing if you pay annually.

Something missing from this analysis is Microsoft’s Office 365. As long as you don’t paying yearly, rather than monthly, and especially if you already need to use the desktop versions of any Office applications, it should be the clear winner in the ~$5 range. $60/year (equal to $5/mo) gets you one terabyte of OneDrive…
