Sorry, no price, you need to build in “feminists” and “SJWs” to win the bullshit bingo.

It’s possible to have opinions about things that aren’t for you.

I have to say the most surprising thing I read in this whole article was the inflammatory “#SJW nonsense” used by Play Asia in their tweet. I won’t be buying from them again.

It’s just savvy marketing.

Well, yeah, that’s the entire Gamergate platform in a nutshell.

True, but this is self-censorship, which everyone does. No government is forcing Nintendo to do this, they chose not to include this stuff because it’s there choice. This is just editing the game of one small thing that doesn’t impact it at all. To explain this, I’ll just leave this video by Jim Sterling.

He is, the basement dwellers are not the majority.

Here’s some advice - If making sure the female characters in a game can wear skimpy clothing while you play is super important to you, you’re probably a gross person. Stop being gross.

THIS IS NOT CENSORSHIP!!!!!

Not sure you can blame this on the non-existent “Internet police” when this was an internal decision made with zero publicity before it happened.

Companies voluntarily altering their own products isn’t censorship.

The scantily clad stuff is in the games in Japan because it makes them sell. The scantily clad stuff is removed for North America because it makes it not sell. It’s an economic decision, not a art/ethics decision; so it is not censorship, it’s just business.

People need to learn what censorship is. This is not censorship. Seriously, the “gamer” crowd is really fucking stupid sometimes. A bunch of petulant children.

I mean, it’s definitely censorship. These costumes were clearly integral to the narrative arc and thematic undercurrents of the game. Removing them compromises their artistic statement and the message contained within them. How am I even supposed to get scared now?

But your first instinct wasn’t to say, “This does nothing for me,” or “This seems lazy,” it was to go after the work because it tackled gender divisions through humor. Then you say there’s “nothing wrong with that”, while adding the backhanded remark that you’re sure there are “people who find that funny.”

What?

But male superheroes are oafish. Especially in the Golden Age in comics which this seems to be referencing.

gives them more freedom than they could ever get in 95% of the world

The sad thing is, the real-life equivalents of these people can be even more cartoonishly evil than the ones in the comics. Like the dickwanks who drain the watering stations set up along some immigration paths to prevent death by dehydration. Even the Sons of the Serpents haven’t sunk so low as to doom immigrants to
