Emma Thompson, please.

Your interpretation of the paper's findings are a bit off. For one, higher incomes still correlate with lower BMIs:

Genes. It's all in the genes.

Taking a different route on this for the sake of discussion...

I agree. My experience is solely with their straight-sized clothes, but often they look cute on the hanger, but when you try them on, the cuts are weird and unflattering. And don't even try washing them.

As a former hotel general manager, I am very excited to have something potentially useful to contribute. In my experience, the difference between a $45 room and a $60 room is huge. Like the difference between having clean sheets and a clean toilet, or not. Possibly more importantly is the level of clientele. It's not

I would just claim repeatedly that you are busy, busy, busy. No one needs a "friend" like that. Hopefully in time she'll get a clue. It sounds like you are a people pleaser like me ... I struggled with a similar decision not to renew a "friendship" with someone who hadn't treated me very well. I still fight pangs of

Seriously, this is a time when I think the phrase "you do you" applies. There's no entry exam to be a nerd, you aren't the gatekeeper, and the last thing anyone needs is someone feeling deputized to quiz other people on how they're allowed to self-identify.

Tess is one of my favorite names ever. It's simple, sweet, and not too common. I don't think it's a bad idea to have a proper name (Margaret) and a nickname. As she gets older, she'll figure out when she wants to use her formal name and when she wants to use her nickname.

"More people can't be unique because then I'M not unique! *pout*"

Spend the extra money if you can. You will be way more comfortable and more productive in turn.

Complaining about "phonies"...Holden is that you?

I'm so sorry, what a terrible way to spend such an exciting birthday. You are totally justified in being really upset that your friends bailed on you. Frankly, even if they were too sad to want to come, sometimes you suck it up and show up for your friend - it's a shame they didn't realize that.

I'm spending a week in a kind of shitty town (yay spring break as a grad student) to do research. Is it worth spending $60/night for an efficiency with a 98% approval rating or should I opt for $45/night for an efficiency with a 77% approval rating? The $60 looks a bit nicer, but I'm worried I'm just being precious.

I wrote ages ago about needing to have half my thyroid and a tumor removed because the docs couldn't rule out cancer. I had the surgery on Monday and other than being tired, I feel fine. I'm still waiting for the pathology, but the surgeon said things went well and the likelihood is things will be fine.
I'm off work

It recently occurred to me that Prince Eric looks like the love child of Danny Tanner and Uncle Jesse.

I don't understand why this is so hard. I make my bed every day and the process never takes longer than one minute. I don't do anything fancy, just put the pillows down and pull the covers up. Laundering? Sure, that takes longer, but I don't do that every day. Do you really not have one minute to spare?

Her arms are just flawless. I can't ... even ... begin to ... with words ...

Lupita wins, but my mind automatically went to the Pantsuit Rainbow.
