And no, I'm not being facetious (the fuck you was hyperbole, obviously), but I think both pulled off what they attempted with aplomb. Mortal Kombat is a cheesy action game with an awesome cheesy action movie, and Silent Hill is a creepy atmospheric horror game, and I think the movie delivered on that front as well.
