Squirrel Nut Zippers. Wow. After "Hell" came out, I bought 2 of their albums, as well as a Christmas album. A year later, they were all collecting dust. Not that they weren't good, they just didn't stick to my ribs past the intial novelty song.
Nobody, but nobody, can squeeze more meaning and depth of feeling out of the word tasty. And for that I love her.

The one highlight for me was — amazingly — Lifetime's adaptation of Wally Lamb's Wishin' and Hopin'. I'm not sure if I can trust my center of gravity anymore, because Lifetime made a great movie. They lifted the tone and storytelling style of A Christmas Story, and it was the right decision, and one that was executed…
