Driving skills is the forgotten factor when it comes to track days. I spent hours in a car with an instructor before going out on my own. If I could take an instructor with me each time, I would.

I hang with a group of M guys and we ALL track our cars. That’s what keeps us together. I have no issue with non-Track going M cars, but love the group that does.

I bought an M4 last year and found out BMW no longer offers the class with the purchase of a new M car. I ended up paying for it (with their 20% discount for owners). It was worth the money.

Jokes aside, why do you frequent a car website if you feel they are such horrible ways to spend money? Of course they are. My buddy wastes money playing golf on Saturdays, my wife wastes money on Carbon Fiber road bikes and my sister wastes money on silly purses.

People think most guys that care so much about what they drive should surely care a lot about how they look. But in my experiences the average car enthusiast is a sloppy dresser, never works out, and puts 90% of their life effort into their automobile. We should expect better from our fellow gearheads.

Have you read any of the reviews as of late? Outside of the horribly reviewed Lexus RC-F, this car isn’t winning any competitions vs the Germans. There are two types of cars in this category: The M3/4 & M3/4 fighters.
