I should also mention that initially, the recovery partition crashed out when it was working prior to me installing a new SSD recently. I was able to use Disk Utility and other stuff as well without too much issues, but this has resolved that as well.

No difference, though you may need to skip over disk check. It timed out for me on the first go. Also, this had the nice side effect of repairing a really long time to boot to Bootcamp after restart as well, so there is that bonus to boot (not that it matters that much now that I've gotten VirtualBox to play nice…
