If you are in the LA area and want to watch Dodgers/Lakers/Clippers/ ever outside of Nationally televised broadcasts then yes.

Warrior poses, The Cresent, Various Moons and Lunges, and so forth.

Protip: Don't get into headphones and/or collecting.

DVI-A to VGA, then yes:

30Hz would be a bit of a deal breaker in terms for graphics and NLE. For general texting/reading/watching videos, probably not.

Sriracha's good in everything, especially if it's drowned in it.

Pho's always good even if you're not sick. Especially when it's drowning in Sriracha.

Except that's not up to you, it's up to the content providers.

Like I said, if you don't have the specs, it's safer to assume it won't support HDCP content, rather than gamble that it does. If it's for personal use, then not a big deal. But out in the field for a job? Yea, that kind of thing matters.

You can but you won't get the full USB3 speed. USB3 spec'd gears and cables have different female terminals, including the extra wide mini version and extra big regular version.

BTW, Monster Cables has some shoddy ass constructions in the Terminal Area. It feels like they were made to fail after a year or two of use. Especially their "pro" audio stuff. It's better to roll your own "pro" audio cables, if you got the soldering gears and a bit of time to practice soldering.

There is, at times, nothing better, nor more spiritually satisfying, than a hearty cup of joe brewed and pressed out of a French Press.

The cable, if properly manufactured to DVI specs, can but the DVI display can't, at least most out in the wild, can't or won't. If you don't have the specs to confirm, it's safer to assume that it won't support HDCP content rather than gamble and fail at a critical juncture, which it usually will.

BTW, HDMI <-> DVI are legit as so long as the content isn't HDCP'd; that there is no DRM applied to the HDMI Signals. Not so for DisplayPort however.

Only thing that Gold Plated does is to increase conductivity a very minuscule amount. But it does prevent corrosion. If you do plug stuff in and out a lot in a humid environment, maybe it's worth the premium.

To quote someone off of the Intarwebs when great changes occur:

Happy endings not included in regular hours LH. You might want to check out after hours.

When I have to get stuff done, Daft Punk gets my typing fingers working. Other times, though, I actually prefer to listen to television shows I've seen a hundred times. Shows like Firefly, half of Aaron Sorkin's shows, or Futurama are full of not just clever writing, but excellent deliveries. I never tire of hearing

Sigh, I guess I'm one of the few slobs that liked these little winglet monstrosities.
