No, it seems though the software doesn't properly filter out the automagic dialing of standard codes. IMEI codes, the global checkin code, etc. isn't really filtered out (and it should've been).

A case/cover saved my iPad from certainly ending in tears when it was dropped. If I ever do get an iPhone, the first thing it gets is a case, cover, and probably milspec second case.
