I wouldn’t call them obsolete. The great majority of users have no need to ever upgrade a tablet device, aside from wanting a lighter/smaller one. Most people just use them for basic web stuff and the first iPad works just fine for that.

I have an original iPad. Seems pretty useless nowadays, with not being able to use most current apps. What do you use yours for?
