I have a uninsured family member who is knocking on 50. Flat out refused, REFUSED to get Insurance because the ACA was nick named “Obamacare”. He hates Obama with a passion (straight up racist - and will admit as such).

Few towns do Travel that young for Girls. I am actually managing a 8U travel team outside of my town because of that. I looked to do it in my town to keep all the girls together, but I couldn’t come up with enough 8U (For 18/19 Season) that I thought would be competitive enough to play. We did a few tournaments with

Yep, I’ve noticed that as well with girls. They tend to get better earlier then the boys. Actually, the girls in my town are off the hook good. I’m in NJ and in the area i’m at Softball is incredibly competitive at the older levels.

Hah, dude.. where the hell do you live, the twilight zone?  You must be a very patient person.

Yep, sounds similar. We had our “Playoffs” for her coach pitch division. Generally I move all the girls around but for those games I stuck my daughter at First, and the only other girl on the team that could throw at pitcher. 99% of our outs that we made on the field were 1-3 or just a put out at first.

Oh, please, if he ever does, even if its in a week, post back here. :)

Hah, yep good ol’ Daddy Ball. I get it to a certain degree, its a natural instinct to protect and jig the system for you own kids. I try not to do it myself, but occasionally find myself doing it and I have to re-calibrate. My daughter is really good for her age and it’s very difficult with her as she has advanced

Hahahaha.. Please let me know what he says. If we are wrong, i’d love to know it, as it was a BIG deal this year for us.

Christ.. Throwing hard is a big part of it, but at age 11/12 I’ve noticed that for the most part the kids can hit a fast ball down the middle (within reason). We have been teaching the kids placement and basic types of different pitches (change up and curve). If you have a kid that can hit 45mph+, the changeup can

Hah.. Thats to funny. Seasons over, but you guys were taking a huge risk. If a kid got hurt my guess is that your insurance wouldn’t have covered it, and that would have been the end of your LL.

Yep.. this year we could barely put together a U11 and U12 team for districts. A few studs on the team, but most are just average players. The issue with us is our pitchers. We have two great ones, and one thats OK. Unfortunately it’s not enough, especially given that two of them are also our primary catchers. The

Interesting, seems only for the “Junior and 50/70" leagues.  Maybe thats why my league isnt aware or doesnt care.  We dont do either..   What age group for your son?

I give you guys credit for playing so late into the season. Everything but T-Ball stopped for us weeks ago so we could prepare our All Star/District teams to get annihilated. :)  We are a small town, small pool of kids..

That sounds like a load of horseshit. We have been playing other towns and I havent seen a single Mako in play in 2018. If you find any more info on that can you forward along? I found this which seems to have been updated in Feb..

Sorry bro.. As I always tell my kids, “You cant win a game with Zero runs.”

Thats unbelievable to me. You guys are just ignoring LL rules. I dont know a lot about it, but i’d assume if someone gets hurt using that bat you guys are going to be in a world of shit. My understanding is part of the reason they moved away from those bats was because of Safety.

Is your league part of LL? LL is very specific on the bats.. Kids in your league will be very surprised when they try to play All Stars or Districts at other towns. Those Orange Mako’s stick out like a sore thumb. :)

There is always one.

We are actually looking into building a Cricket field in town. It wouldnt matter in this case tho. :)

Okay, real quick.. .
