That middle photo is one of my all time favorites of Tori. So pretty.

I love these photos, and really I love all of his work with Tori. I remember when this album came out, a bunch of people complained that it was so obviously Tori in every photo and that taping her eyebrows in different places was not groundbreaking. As if the point was to fool people or something.

Kate Spade Saturday was a failure, right? I wonder if it was vending machine related.

Yeah that bit is especially egregious. They thought it was more important to drag her through the mud than to just accept her offer to waive the fee. Amazing.

That’s really unfortunate and also incredibly stupid of them. They must have known that you were able to directly contact the landlord, so why would they not at least make sure that they were all in agreement about what should happen?

I can’t speak to residential real estate, but that is not how it works in commercial at all. In commercial settings, often both sides are represented by legal teams or at the very least brokers, and significant negotiations are not uncommon. There is no such thing as tenants having “no choice” but to sign a commercial

Definitely fair enough. I also have plenty of experience with landlords that don’t exactly do thorough due diligence before closing ...

I shouldn’t even bother to respond to your sad trolling, but I don’t work in residential real estate and literally nothing you said applies to me. Remember to read legal documents before you sign them.

good luck out there!

What if a new landlord bought the property? It’s not their fault that the leases weren’t being enforced. Would that still negate the landlord’s rights to make the dogs go? I wouldn’t think so, but again I don’t work in residential. In commercial, or at least according to my lawyers, we are well within our rights to

Yup. You have to advocate for yourself if you don’t understand something. In most cases, it’s not in the landlord/employer/whatever’s best interests to hold your hand through it, so they’re not going to offer. They should answer your questions and not be shady, but they’re also not going to go out of their way to

Once some guy waltzed in to my office with documentation from his bank saying the payment was auto-drafted on the 11th of the month. Rent is due on the 1st. He was fucking outraged that we charged him a late fee because he “never pays late”, and even more outraged when I was like, “Look, all that documentation proves

Wow that is fucked. If there is one thing you never mess with in terms of building structures, it is water. Especially poop water.

Look, if I’m going to die, I may as well go out covered in sequins.

Your comment should be this entire article. Not only did they sign a contract they had no intention of honoring, but the vendor went out of her way to waive the charge and they still wanted to make her life miserable? I hope they enjoy paying her that million dollars.

I definitely understand. I moved across the country to live in an apartment I didn’t see until the day we moved in. Luckily everything turned out ok but I was very, very nervous about it. It is harder still when you are not accostomed to the local laws and don’t get anyone to explain them to you. I wish you good luck

Not possible, they’re pieces of shit. Actually the one I have now is doing great with nary a crack, but unfortunately there isn’t a lot of holographic glitter. Pros and cons.

I mean this is every conversation you have with someone in which you point out “hey, that was a racist thing to say” and somehow it turns into “YOU’RE THE REAL RACIST BECAUSE I DON’T EVEN SEE RACE”.

Yes, calling an untrue statement a “lie” is SO BOLD.

IANAL but yeah, in some states you are required to give notice about vacating in writing. My last landlord definitely did, but I guess at least they had the courtesy of sending me a letter 90 days in advance and told me I had to respond by X date with my future plans.
