Honestly he shouldn’t smile. It doesn’t work for him at all.

From the Washington Post article about “Free Speech Week”:

I guess my point is that if you don’t know the person well, and you don’t know if they would be offended, don’t ask. I’m glad that you’ve never run into this phenomenon and I’m also glad that no one has taken offense to questions you’ve asked. You’ve gotten lucky!

Banning is one thing, I will grant that. But are public universities required to host any and every speaker that students coordinate? Genuinely asking. I would assume the answer is no, because that doesn’t make any sense - but then what are the parameters? Surely they must have some say about who gets to use their

My parents have told me stories in which, as a young child, I used to talk about how much I don’t like babies or kids younger than me.

Okay, but this is my point. If you don’t want to keep up with every person’s relationship status, that’s cool, but then why not just... not bring it up? Or why not just use the person’s name? And if you can’t remember the name OR the relationship status, why on earth are you asking after someone about whom you don’t

Hm, here’s a question - do university organizations or groups (e.g. campus Republicans) have carte blanche to invite anyone they want to speak? I realize it’s a public university, but I don’t think that if a friend invites me I can just show up at Penn State and demand to be allowed to set up and give a speech in one

I know you warned me, but I had to scroll back up and look...

I’m sorry, what “extraordinary ability” does Milo have? He’s not even that good at trolling.

LOL THIS IS WHY WOMEN SHOULDN’T VOTE

Exactly this. Being uninvited or - gasp - not being invited in the first place to spew your hot racist word salad is not oppression. No one is violating your rights to free speech. You can say whatever the fuck you want - likewise, other people, exercising their rights to free speech, can call you out on it.

I’m disappointed, especially after seeing his numbers right after the polls closed (60-70%) - that was really exciting at first! But I’m not surprised at the outcome. I guess I am naive, but I think 48% is still really great and that he has a chance against Handel. I really do. I think enthusiasm for him can and will

I agree wholeheartedly with this assessment. There is no doubt that he’s doing it because he’s afraid he’ll lose next go ‘round. That man is nothing if not a coward.

I am thrilled beyond measure about this! He should just quit today, really.

Trump didn’t give a shit until he saw photos of dead babies because he can’t fucking read.

but I don’t think a kid should be saddled with a parent who spends time possibly resenting having them.

Rude people are everywhere, but when I moved to the South there was an enormous uptick of people demanding to know when I will get married, when I will have kids, how many kids do I think I will have, etc. I have had so many people down here refer to my boyfriend as my husband, just because why WOULDN’T I be married?

This is because the moment you say you don’t want kids, everyone exclaims, “But don’t you love babies! Babies are so cute! Children will make you a real human being! I never loved until I had a child! Your decision is very bad because kids are so great!”

I should have taken a photo of them. They were actively anti-Trump (e.g. WE MUST STOP HIM!) and had pictures of Trump looking like a moron (easily done). There were literally 15 different kinds, all with the same basic sentiment. Here’s a photo of my card!

I’m going to do what I can!
