I love me some cars. Muscle cars, pickups, old SUVs like 80s land cruisers. But the reason I love cars so much is because they can be so unique and fun and quirky. EVs are a whole new bag of weird and fun. Drove an I3 the other day. It was fun. and different. And surprisingly roomy. I found myself laughing about the

WHY?! WHY? There’s the HR-V, the CR-V, and the Pilot. There’s no $#%&ing market niche between them. This makes zero sense. I got an idea, Honda, if sharing platforms is your thing, how about theHR-R” and a “CR-R” that share the platform of the Ridgeline (thus, the “R”) but have pickup beds? You know, a legit small

I’d grant two stars, good sir, if I could.

Mazda b series, the rangers of the 80s and 90s, Chevy S-10, Toyota pickups before 2004, Nissan D-21. These are small trucks. And because of the protectionist economy here they are dead so detroit and dearborn can sell over cooked luxury cars on 31" tires.

Two door, xtra cab w/ 4ft bed, please/

Where was this last year? I don’t need a hulking 4x4 or a huge bed. Hell, I live in the city where parking can be a pain and our driveway is small. I would like some decent MPGs, too. So while I like the look of this thing, really, it would have been so much better if it came out last year.

I had a jetta sportwagen TDI. VW bought it back with just north of 60k on the clock. In the end the tie rods were going, the ipod connector was total crap, the rear pass door handle kept sticking and there was an unexplained vibration under the hood. With the buyback pending, i worried not about these issues and drove

Put in my postal code and “We are currently UK only.

2001 Kia Sephia.

I’d like to know what real world MPGs you get driving it like it’s supposed to be driven. Also, is the backseat comfortable for real adults? Can a lab retriever fit in the trunk area without being super cramped?

I had an ‘86 CJ-7 Renegade for a year. It was a total 10-footer. Body rot, bad carb, electrical issues, bad brakes, bald tires, a shifter that pulled off the floor, no wipers or lights, failing gauges and a suspension that felt locked in place. The windshield leaked, the radio was shot and I’m pretty sure the exhaust

Dammit. the map doesn’t work. :-/

Holy shit. That ad is depressing. My god. I’ve never seen anyone try harder NOT to sell a car.

I voted NP. Because VW refuses to bring the Saveiro here.

Then there’s dealers that take a deposit for cars they don’t have and promise to get you one in a few days. Back in 2012 the wife and I were looking for a manual Jetta Sportwagen TDI, and no local dealer’s had any. I found one dealer that happily took my deposit and made false promises. “A few more days...” they’d

Those are great bust they’re strictly camping or bust vehicles. For folks that can afford to add a second or third seldom used vehicle, and folks like me that live in a city, the attraction on the California is it’s size and daily driver ability.

A great follow-up tonthis story would be 1. What is it, exactly that prevents VW from marketing this here (crash or emission standards, shipping and tariffs that may make the price unpalatable, limited expectations on demand?) if it’s an engine issue, then the question becomes what are the economics of modifications

If it can’t be sold here it should not be named for something here. We can’t have the nice things. Damn you, VW. Damn you. C’mon sell it here!!!!

I owned a gorgeous 5-speed 1994 Toyota 4runner SR5. That truck had every option you could stuff in a mid 90's car. To this day it remains the most expensive vehicle I’ve ever owned - and I’m not adjusting for inflation! It was a as hog. It was in the shop for just about everything. And I killed it by stretching an oil

The k-car. Saved an entire corportation. Spawned more spin-offs than CSI. Was the platform for the minivan. A car ubiquitous with the 80s.
