You may as well include the Maverick on this list. Finding a used one that doesn’t have a double digit markup over original sticker has been a real challenge.

Amend the article to include any Ford Maverick.

It’s not a bargain-priced pickup...” That’s for sure. The Maverick was, is by all accounts a home run. Finding a good one for a reasonable cost is impossible and all dealers do is post fake leaders, so there’s now way to know what’s even in stock which forces a huge waste of everyone’s time. C’mon, Chevy, let’s build

I was hoping to see some pics and details on trunk and cargo space. It’s it going to supplant the family’s small SUV as a daily, it’s gotta pull some duty carrying our crap. And the dog. Hate that shifter and the rear seat headroom is a major disappointment.

The trunk. Is it useful?

Why not? it’s 2022. Climate change, public health policy, and economics have entered the chat.

1973 Chrysler Imperial coupe. The epitome of slovenly waste. Powered by an anemic 215hp engine through a 3-speed automatic transmission. Weighing in at 2384 kg this sloth of a car was more than 230" long. 12 sec 0-60. 10mpg. As inefficient and mundane is American cars could ever get.

Same boat here. Love our CR-V. The MPGs... not so much.

7 miles, 15 minutes. Reverse commute. People claim time is priceless and city living is too costly. But the same folks spend 2+ hours a day commuting in and their hair is on fire over gas prices. SMH.

7 miles, 15 minute reverse commute out to the ‘burbs. I could go a month between charges with the Mustang as a commuter.

Pardon me, but WTF is even the point of MSRP. Really.

An exceptionally clean Honda Element with low miles will set you back $15k. Use that extra cash to lavish the dog with a new dog house. Up the food quality and travel.

How does one effectively direct their displeasure with the lack of a manual?

Steelies and good snow tires.

100%. I’ve got a CRV. If it were a report card it would be straight B’s. I don’t want to like it. But then I had cars that got A’s in some areas, and Fs in others. It’s not as tough or capable off road as my 4runner, it’s not as reliable  as my Tacoma, it’s not as fun to drive as my Jetta TDI, it’s not as efficient as

C’mon, man. Unless it’s sortable....

Got my first in person look at the Maverick yesterday, An AWD EX-L. Pretty impressed but one thing really bothered me.

Can anyone provide a reference to the “flashers” study? Found a AAA crash and bad weather study (referenced in article about the flashers, but nothing in that study about it.)

Consumers: We want this! There’s nothing like it on the market.
