He's a world-record holding free diver. They often hold their breath for around ten minutes or more. However, in his videos, shot by his girlfriend (also a record-holding free diver), multiple takes are combined for artistic effect. I first learned about him from another incredible video they did at Dean' Blue Hole.

Wow... I'd never seen this particular chart. I never had it in my head that Titan was nearly as large as Mars.

Dangit, I wanted to talk about science and sound smart but, Um.... what he said.
(Seriously though, that's about as accurate a depiction of the circumstance as could be written in layman's terms. Good explanation!)

To explore the vast, empty stretches of cold nothingness between their ears.

I'll second this. I've struggled with my weight my entire life, even though I'm always successful once I find the motivation to keep to a weight loss diet (which, incidentally, is NOT the same diet as long-term "lifestyle change)." The mirror is terrible motivation for me because even when I've lost as much as 50

I'm gobsmacked by the ingenuity here. I have a 13-year-old son who's deep into Minecraft, and I am delighted about it. As for the haters, I tell them what I tell my son: Genius is drawn to seemingly intractable, sometimes trivial problems because they hone thinking skills in ways that build even greater genius. Like

Watch Good Will Hunting.

There are more important things in life than the important things in life.

Hey, I'll start. I'm an asshole.

I've got about 20 food allergies, two of which will likely be fatal if I ever eat those foods, and jeez, it sucks. So believe me, those of us with *actual* food allergies hate the "I'm allergic to gluten" people even more than you do. :)

What's weird is that in my younger days, I was a rock climber who managed to scale the 1,200-foot Devil's Tower in Wyoming, yet I watch this video and every particle of my brain recoils with a cascade of "nope, nope, nope..."

I've got one and yes, it's really, really cool. It does make you wonder how much better the real thing is going to be, though.

Sapphire Carl Zeiss lenses. Don't forget those. And chamfered bezel edges on the cardboard.

So get this... Although my point of view isn't the radical "climate change denier" that you would probably label me as, I do nonetheless have significant scientific doubts about the validity of much of the climate data used to back up the climate change message. So by that measure, I'm one of the people you're talking

I love Rendezvous with Rama (and even wholeheartedly loved all the sequels) but with the first book, it would be difficult to make a compelling movie. The plot moves forward on the motivation of human curiosity. There's so discernible enemy, so to make the story work on screen, you'd have to introduce some character

I've never really understood this critique of the Nolan movies. From the instant I heard Batman speak that way, I understood it to be "Bruce Wayne is disguising his voice so as not to be recognized." It never even dawned on me that he'd NOT disguise his voice.

I'm fully on the Apple bandwagon, but I'll give you this one, for sure!

Interestingly, this suggests that the sense of smell could actually predate life itself. When you think about it, it almost HAS to.

I waited in line for the premier of Batman. I had seen Keaton in Clean and Sober, so I knew he could do drama, and well. I still look back on that evening as the most enjoyable movie experience I've ever had (and I saw Star Wars in the theater when I was 11). The opening credits of this movie still outshine many full

Something about those huge pixels replaced the horrible graphics with grand imagination.

I'm a big Apple fan myself, but a fella has to admit the truth when it's in front of him. Google was first here. I'll give credit where it's due. Let's hope cardless payment works out for all platforms.
