I’d say the Michael Vick example mind of throws a wrench in the whole ‘the NFL is super racist and Kaep can’t get a job cuz he’s black’ theory.

Coach = he’s a distraction. A major part of a coaches job is to cut out distractions. If you can’t do your job, you get replaced.

That’s too simple an assessment.

I go back and forth on this one. As a coach, we preach all the time that the kids who make good grades and stay out of trouble will get the minutes when athletic ability is similar. He’s a decent zone read QB, but defenses have caught up to zone offenses. I think he’s easily a back up in the pros, but so are a bunch

Wtf are you talking about? I’m not a progressive and where did I defend white women? Please point that out? Stupid...

Thanks for telling me how I feel. Great read, very thought provoking. But no matter how much you rationalize, the falsehood in the first sentence detracts from the article and the authors credibility.

I dont feel judged, I’m not a white woman.

I dont want to own anyone.

Now that’s what I’m talking about! Great dialogue! Yes, I do see your POV on the absence of “all”.

I actually will. Thanks.

Doubling down on what? That this is an excellent article that loses value because of the weak intro?

Lol that’s the one sight I avoid

How so?

Enlighten me then.

Thank you for your serious reply. I agree with you. I just think the first few lines have nothing to do with the meat and potatoes of the article. It’s a sweeping generalization followed by twisting a fact into a lie. It cheapens the content of a valuable article.

No. No I didn’t.

No I didn’t... do you seriously mean that?

Where did I get defensive? I agree with the main theme of the article, which is a white, female director is whitewashing a movie. Good article with valid points. So my question to the author is, why lead off like you do, generalizing an entire race and gender, then throw out a misleading statistic about that race and

Really good article, except for the beginning where you generalize an entire race and gender: “It’s been quite a busy couple of months for white women. After 53% of them handed Trump the election at the conclusion of 2016...”

I’m not saying it wasn’t stupid and pointless, just pointing out that I don’t think this should be categorized with being murdered for being black like Martin or Castile.
