if you play through ds and stuff the smogon rules most likely wont affect you. However if you use Pokemon Showdown, which is an online pokemon battle simulator that smogon uses, alot of the rules apply there.

keep in mind that mega mewtwo cant hold any other items while holding the mega stone, while rayquaza doesnt have that restriction. Plus Mega Mewtwo's ability, Steadfast, is nowhere near as broken as Delta Stream, which effectively cancels any weather set up as well as nullifying type weakness of M-Rayquaza by half.…
