I think its a mistimed episode at worst. I think if they followed what they did with Samurai Champloo, where have alot of the character development and drama build in the 1st half, then show the crazy baseball (which is my favourite episode ever) and the mushroom episode afterwards, then it would have been good.

The animation quality in Build Fighters is so good. and the music as well! Kawaguchi's theme is amazing and the fight vs Fellini was awesome. Lot of people didnt like Gundam going the not so serious route, but it's definitely an amazing series and lot of homages and shoutouts.
