Alien 3 kind of saddens me, it was David Fincher’s first big break and he puts in a lot of the things we know and love about him as a director. But the whole thing was doomed from the beginning with a long development hell and a bunch of rewrites. Too many cooks in the kitchen always ruins a good thing.

Wait. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice wasn’t made for mainstream audience? A 250-millions superhero blockbuster extravaganza wasn’t made for mainstream audiences? A movie that was advertised on everything including cereal boxes and bags of chips wasn’t made for mainstream audience?

Then Marvel came along and showed, hey, you can make beautiful comic book movies that look amazing, are entertaining, and make money. So

Tell me about it. I’m weeks behind on SLEEPY HOLLOW and GRIMM, and lately Monday nights mean choosing between SUPERGIRL, X-FILES, and CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND . . ...
