My dad was always into NASCAR and I was fortunate to grow up in central Florida near Lakeland Speedway USA. We went there religiously when they had Hooters Pro Cup until the track closed. We would always travel to Daytona for 500 qualifying since it was free to get in. Once I got older and Lakeland closed, we started

Part of the reason is for driver safety. When NASCAR moved to the COT they increased the height of the car to protect the driver in case of a roll over.

Yeah okay but that’s basically every Alpina car ever.

Ford Edge EV since that’s basically what this thing is.

So an electric powered Ford Edge?

I would gladly go into the debt for this car if they sold it here. I don’t care if the M3 handles better or makes more power. The only thing this car is missing is a nice set of totally bonkers cloth seats from yesteryear.

the residents of Miami Gardens sound lame af .

The shape of tall grilles could be pulled off If they were say 30% smaller and the lights were 20% larger or something. The combination of the grilles being huge and the lights being super thin is what makes it look bad. Same for the X7 and 7 series.

I think maybe his point is that safety isn’t something that is going to draw people to a sport to watch and he worded it incorrectly?

I’ve been looking at the 2GC several times today and I figured out that it isn’t just the angled body crease but that the hood sits like 6-8 inches above where the belt line for the windows starts. The new 3, 5, 7, and 8, all do this though not as dramatic of a difference and it makes the proportions look weird.

I know people are keying in on that car because I said ended up buying it, but I don’t necessarily consider it beautiful. At least not in the same way I would call a Ferrari beautiful.

Yeah, I see your point, it’s kind of a goofy looking car, but it’s still better than this thing.

I first fell in love with BMW my junior year of college when I got a job as a porter at the local dealership. I got to drive nice cars around and wash them in a largely stress free environment. Then I delivered a serviced n54 135i to its owner, a 1M to have some upholstery redone, an e30 M3, an M6, a 640i, an e39 M5 an

Rain. And lots of it.

That’s a good point. Sebring and Homestead are in the middle of nowhere. Daytona is the only track in Florida with major infrastructure around it and that’s because the city grew around the track.

Oh. Yeah, I’ve been there once and didn’t go inside because I didn’t feel like paying $15 to watch a bracket race to see the track for 20 minutes and head out being I was on vacation. I wouldn’t know if it we’re good or bad for this though because I’ve not been to any F1 race ever. I would guess the facilities are not

I’m behind this simply because I live in South Florida and I’d like to see an F1 race. I have plans to go to COTA at some point but if it’s right down the road I’m there. People can complain about the track all they want, but F1 is a train everywhere they go. At least in South Florida you can count on rain to make

Sonoma’s on a 2 lane road off a 4 lane highway. I would imagine an F1 race would draw more traffic than NASCAR and I’ve heard it’s pretty awful getting in and out for the Cup Series which hasn’t been selling out the last few seasons.

Wow, I hate this thing.

The profile view is sick af but straight on it doesn’t look good. It’s obvious that the reason it’s so wide and high is to allow the driver to get in and out of the car but it looks a little funky from the font.
