I am both satisfied and disappointed. Satisfied: this is the right idea. Disappointed: this is poor execution. Someone with time needs to get *actual* NASCAR radio chatter.

Hey Patrick George, I don’t appreciate you calling me an idiot! I really like my new(ish) used BMW 135i that I got from Autonation, okay?

This reminds me of a Lamborghini LM002 as a trophy truck. I can get behind this.

I can’t stand it when a car rolls over and the driver supports their body By placing an outstretched arm on the roof. It’s dumb

I have a feeling it’ll look better in person but it looks a little too much like a 5 series for me. Not buying one though, so BMW probably doesn’t care.

People who can’t believe that the truck driver didn’t see him are forgetting a key point:

I’ve got a serious soft spot for (almost) all things BMW but I would take the 190 EVO II.

Unfortunately, the problem isn’t easily described in a couple sentences. Especially when you have the media writing stories about how great it would be to have this in other races.

That is true. Bristol and Martinsville aren’t usually boring races.

I will keep beating this drum until there is no more talk about using this package ever again.

Fair.

I’m forced to speculate that you only think Top Gun is better because you enjoyed the heavily lubed dudes beach volleyball game.

Alright. I’ll go out on a limb and say it. I guess I have to be the only sensible one.

Completely unrelated to the argument of who is at fault here, but related to the driving technique, I’m guessing you lock up the brakes to bring the rear around and then you go back to power to keep the slide? Or are there other techniques for bringing the back end out as you enter the corner?

Why do you need an airbag when you have the entire dash/steering wheel popping out to cushion your face?

I’m supposed to think this law is a bad idea because a guy that got a ticket for it was also caught driving under the influence with an open container? Nah, I’ll pass (pun intended).

Thanks for sharing this. Seems to be a pretty good outline of all the things that could’ve gone wrong.

It’s easy to blame the process as the problem, but my understanding is that this process is more than common.

They also designed the Sunshine Skyway that spans the entrance to Tampa Bay. It’s been there for nearly 30 years with no issues. I’m hesitant to blame design/engineering here.

Stupid question incoming: why is it inefficient and complicated compared to the norm?
