Ya know, I used to try and cut him some slack, but to ruin a guy’s day who’s running for points when you’re not even a regular in the series? C’mon, man, grow up.

It means you drive like 10 grandmas.

You really don’t have much of a clue about NASCAR and the racing on which it’s based, do you?

They used to enforce loose lug nuts prior to 2016, decided it was “self policing,” didn’t have a rule and teams went a tad far. Nothing new here but the fines and the fact that they only check post race.

I struggle to see why people don’t like Joey Logano. Sure his dad is outspoken or whatever, but half the guys who complain about Joey complain that NASCAR is soft and corporate and no one races like Dale Sr. anymore.

I read this. Then saw the link to the Camry Dent article and now, because of Jalopnik, fake exhausts/intakes, how much smaller short women look in new sedans, Camry Dents and bezel-less Chevys will never go unnoticed.

I believe this is wildly misinterpreted. He said not to look for NASCAR to punish the person who spins you if you block. Hence “you better hope there’s a Good Samaritan behind you willing to accept the block.”

Michigan, Kansas, Pocono, Chicagoland and Texas all have terrible racing. We’ll see what the changes at Texas might do.

They could drop Pocono, Michigan, Kansas and Texas to one race and Stop going to Chicagoland altogether. That’s 5 races there. They could then add COTA, I’d like to see it. Then return to Darlington for a second time and maybe bring back tracks like Rockingham (pipe dream, yes, but it’s a great race track) and add

Truck races at plate tracks are *always* “Wars of attrition.” Nothing to see here.

Well, people have been saying they wanted a return to the good old days..

And like I said, they’ve gotten closer with the new car, but too much is different still.

I agree with you to a point. Who cares if only a few guys are on the lead lap at the end of a race if they’re actually battling for the win? Nowadays 15-20 cars might be on the lead lap, but none of them are actually contending for a win. I do think we’re beginning to see that hard last few laps racing more and more

That finish was pretty consistent with what NASCAR has said in the past on their decisions to throw a caution on the last lap. Hamlin never made any contact with the wall, therefore it wasn’t necessary for them to mobilize emergency crews.

So which is it that Sprint Cars do? There’s a lot of discussion that these are the same thing.

I have a somewhat unrelated question: is this car’s platform going to be used in the future for things like the Charger/Challenger or does FCA have zero interest in making the Charger/Challenger a more modern sports car?

I’d rather see Dodge run itself into the ground spending money doing outlandish stuff like this than blending in with every other automaker.

Couldn’t this create more R&D jobs though?

I want to believe you but I don’t want to just see someone’s opinion and repeat it in the future either. Help.
