On the flip side, you don't even have to go to the gas station when you commute.

Yup, and most EV owners charge at home overnight anyway, so technically it's even better because you don't have to drive to the dang gas station

Well said, i was not clear in my rant.

This obsession with range is just stupid.

I agree, the Forester has lost its competitive edge.

Those back seats are usable for that magical few years when your kid is out of rear-facing seat but hasn’t grown too tall yet. Must be for a Papillon?

The “auto” setting is supposed to be a set-it-and-forget-it no-brainer way to compensate.

The EPA doesn’t even test Porsche’s other $180k car — the GT3RS. In many ways, the EPA won’t influence any Taycan Turbo buyer’s decision either.

I found the EPA tester who did the testing:

    THIS, so much THIS

The case for these has become harder as EVs are getting better and better.

I will be first in line for one: giant battery in the floor (fat shape is perfect for this!), 600-plus hp (666, anyone?), sliding doors, trunk space in the high-30-cu-ft range. Seeing as how that poorly made Model X easily charges $90k-plus, I’d be happy to pay $90k if it’ll easily keep up with smug Teslas

As bosbos said, sliding door deficiency is the most glaring fail.

    Pros:

For $120k, IMO a car has to have character. Either it handles well, or it sounds great, or looks unique ... I am sure some are into the RS6 legacy, and it is sort of a Q ship ... but there are many more 5-passenger vehicles competing in this niche

Good point. I still feel that the I Pace and Taycan are real contenders — EV-quickness, built by marques that can make a better car (interior, build quality, styling). Too little, too late

    LOL

That is all the RS6 is good for, straight lines, no?

The rest are buying Macans/Cayennes, X5M/X6M

Yes, EVs are redefining "quick". The RS6 has lost some of its shine.
