While not technically a V12, the Volkswagen Group W12 that’s in the Bentleys (Continental GT/GTC, Flying Spur, Bentayga) is slated to be sunset after 2024, and deserves mention. What an incredible motor. Especially because it’s likely the only way a 12-cylinder anything would fit in the engine-forward “Audi/MLB”

Think it’s time to find another wife lol.

They are, for the most part, significantly more expensive then their ICE counterparts. Wanna buy a $41,000 Platinum trim Nissan Rogue AWD? That Platinum AWD Ariya is $62,000. A Tesla Model 3 at $40,000 or a loaded Toyota Corolla Hybrid for $27,000. Biggest issue is manufacturers not producing the smaller cheaper

Maybe it’s just me, but I’d take the opinion of a guy who owns a car over the opinion of a guy who doesn’t.

+ euro delivery.

The Dark Horse does look good when I saw it at the autoshow. The front end on these new ones still look a bit goofy to me. Like why is it so sad?

The correct answer is to never give your money to a juvenile Nazi shitlord or his companies.

I have extensive track experience and even on most racetracks, it is hard to top 130 mph on the straightaway let alone on a public street. I could never conceive of going that fast or faster on a public road where so much can go wrong from inconsistent pavement to animals and pedestrians as well as other drivers. Not

Eh screw it, lets make every vehicle from now on the size of the Hummer EV. I want to break the tectonic plates and cause parking structures to collapse. In fact I want them so large, that they back up the streets and force people to just walk instead.

I’d pick up another SS 1LE before they go away

Having owned an FRS for 9 years, I can say that you can do dumber things with your money. Insurance is cheap, wear items (tires, brakes) are cheap, decent gas mileage, high reliability, low depreciation. It’s an excellent daily driver if you don’t need back seat usability regularly.

Base starts at 48K.

I was just running some inflation calculations, and these are pretty much spot on with inflation in the last 10 years. Your point about wage stagnation is valid, though. Personally, I think that the slow demise of sports cars and convertibles isn’t because younger buyers don’t want them, it’s because they can’t afford

It looks like an unlicensed video game version of a Camaro/Mustang/Challenger. Like something you’d get in Burnout or GTA.

It would be called something like a Super Stallion GT or Pony Express.

Americans need better dreams.

It’s ugly and doesn’t look good. In convertible form it looks like an old man car. Massive step back from the 5th and 6th gens

I’m very thankful Ford is still building these, but it’s going to take a while to get used to the look of this new generation.  The design seems more forced and full of compromises.

Still looks like a Camaro, and the massive tacked-on screen is cheap.  While I’ve very much finally aged out of the Mustang’s target market, I appreciate that it still exists - but so much of the design on this one feels mailed in compared to the flow of the last 3 building on each other.

I am very frustrated by the price of new cars. To include “attainable” on an MSRP of $43k-$53k is pushing a narrative that is allowing these manufacturers continue to push prices higher, because journalists and others keep saying that these prices are “affordable” or “attainable”. I call BS. You can’t have rampant

Noveau rich are the same everywhere.
