If he had payed the higher one-way direct flight fare, would he have been on the same flight at the same time, to the same destination?

I couldn’t agree more. I did something like this many years ago when trying to get from Oslo to Vienna for a reasonable price. It was a bit different though - a round trip was cheaper than a one-way trip so I booked the round trip and didn’t take the flight back to Oslo.
Nissan/Infiniti went to crap when Renault bought them. French engineering. Scary. Reminds me of one of my favorite jokes:
Why would anyone voluntarily move from CA to Nevada anyway.
How many doors have all other Mustangs had?
Counterpoint: this is going to be way better publicity than if it just made a normal uneventful run and ended up somewhere in the middle of the pack.
I spent thousands of hours flying on planes at a previous job, much of it intentionally in crappy weather, and I’ll just say this - when you’re seated, keep your seatbelt on. Oh, and wear long pants and long sleeve shirts when you’re flying. Those escape slides are not made of soft or smooth material.
Tesla is at the top of my list. My biggest issue is with the asshole pulling the strings and making ridiculous decisions that as an engineer, leave me scratching my head. For example, why would you put those stupid “Falcon Doors” on the rear of what is essentially an expensive family CUV? It seems they were trying to…
TBH, the VW group does interesting things with their engines. W8 Passat, W12, W16. They did drop those in anything they could think of. And the Lambo 5.0 V10 was essentially two Jetta 2.5 I5, no? And who can forget the V10 TDI in the Touareg. Those guys deserve some beer.
Yeah. The crazies took Florida long ago, and I don’t care about them. Some people will whine “but what about the normies”, and there are none. Actual normal, sane, people left long ago. All that is left is the admitted crazies, and the crazies who refuse to admit that choosing to stay in crazy land ain’t crazy. And…
Not feeling your numbers. I bought my first new BMW for $40K when I was 42 a dozen years ago. I had a mortgage (admittedly small by modern standards), student loans, and some low interest credit card debt. I also made just under six figures, had company health insurance (that my share of is EXPENSIVE), maxed out my…
Unless you have 10 kids or drug habit yes you can.
Millenials, some of which are now 40, only hold 4.8% of all wealth.
Interesting that the CT4 and CT5 are RWD when Cadillac’s crossovers are FWD.
Great, more unnecessarily fast SUVs. Can’t get a wagon, but if you want a 500+ HP SUV, your cup runneth over. Wonderful world we live in.
Out here in coastal SoCal, where the parents are wealthy AND idiotic, there are now “gangs” of dumbass over privileged kids tearing around on $5K E-bikes while completely ignoring traffic laws. I give it 2 years tops before the Gov starts (correctly) treating them like motor vehicles with…
Or just read the rules and ride a regular bike.
Weird. Normal people don’t want to buy a $50k car with 7% interest rates, tech that’s outdated faster than a modern smartphone, a business model that’s constantly pushing microservices, and tracks all your movements with no way to opt out or find out where that information is going?
Man, I thought that people who can legitimately afford a $500k+ car(no one buys a RR with no options) would be above reselling cars. Resell definition as in buy a car, drive it for a few hundred miles, and sell it when it’s registered after a few weeks has elapsed. So very, very short term ownership.
