A couple of observations:
A couple of observations:
It’s my theory that as computers/CAD and factory robots etc. got better, suddently things that were very difficult and hence expensive became possible and cheap, and designers have kinda lost their shit a bit and thrown the entire toybox at it because no-one’s told them they can’t anymore.
The problem is that today’s cars are completely different shaped than yesterday’s. There are new crumble zones, more safety tests, more safety equipment etc, in today’s cars. (This is why when GM tried to make a modern 67 Camaro it ends up looking like a cheap hot-wheels knockoff of a Camaro.)
If modern cars molest people, these should join the sexual offender registry.
I’m not sure why auto designers don’t get it right. What are they drinking that makes them want to crunch and seam every surface. They are so gaudy.
C class and E class are way too different. C class is for the poors that want a Mercedes badge, while the E class is their highest profit maker. They’re not going to screw the pooch and drop the E class.
How can you put the 2007 DBS as last? Its literally the DB9 but incrementally better in nearly every way. DBS volante is my “I won the lotto but not one of the crazy jackpot ones” dream car.
DBX not being last, im afraid I have to give your ranking a “foh off homie!!”
I somehow doubt MB is trying to get Dacia shut down.
The back end is an unfortunate result of the ‘gotta fit golf clubs in the back’ requirement. So dumb.
You should never read the comments for a horrific story like this on social media. The depravity of some people cannot be overestimated.
I mean.... Ferrari, Mercedes and McLaren can all do the same thing, no?
I have said this multiple times on Jalopnik in the past. I hate vehicles that have a design language that screams “I don’t know what I want to be!!”.
A Caddy rep confirmed: You won’t find any parts-bin items here, including the basics like the turn signal stalk and window switches. Everything was designed exclusively for Cadillac.
The rear view camera makes it redundant.
What the hell are you talking about? The only time I’ve ever had a back window (regardless of vehicle) become completely useless is when I haven’t wiped snow off of it. Back window wipers while convient, aren’t a necessity.
I don’t think I’ve turned on an SUV rear wiper in 27 years of having them. People use that?
Don’t judge Cadillac by the XT4 (or 5 for that matter). The 4 is, by far, my least favorite of our current lineup. The 5 is adequate but very uninspired. The XT6 is the best crossover we have, the sedans are great and the Escalade is..well...an Escalade.
