Meh, I have resting smiling face too. The corners of my mouth turn up naturally. Makes it hard to be taken seriously when I’m mad, to take a neutral passport photo, etc. Plus I get approached by a lot of creeps who think I’m smiling at them. On the upside, babies like me.

I kind of take it as, once you die it’s just your soul, and all the souls have morphed together. In a way. I don’t think people are walking around in their human ghost like bodies. We are not our bodies, minds, emotions, or thoughts. We are a soul.

Katy’s very heartfelt tweet to some dude named Steve makes me wonder - if you believe in an afterlife (I do, but I get that it’s a pretty silly concept), do you think you can meet EVERYONE who ever died? People always say that, like, “I’ll see you in the next life, World Renowned Musician Who Has Died,” but like,

Maybe Steven Hawking is a also a nun and she has a vendetta.

Katy,

She dated him, he directed her in career defining roles, she loves him. Ergo she has a massive blind spot regarding him.

Considering the rumor about her husband, you’d think she’d lay off the gay bashing.

Or that super weird guy who fixes the copier. GOD he’s so weirdddddd

Otherwise you end up looking like my middle school choir director, or my dad (briefly*) after the divorce.

There’s nothing proactive in Billy Bush’s statement. No seeking help from a professional; no volunteer work with victims of DV or workplace harrassment; no occupational steps to produce - this might be within his lane - a documentary on media inequality. Just “self-help” (just via reading the Bible, yet?)

I’m not saying it out and out equals harassment (that first comment should say “one of those who would get away” as I have no proof of that but I must’ve fucked up) but repeatedly dating young actresses early in their careers while he clearly has large influence in that world is a bit off and just in combination with

Megyn Kelly is the opposite of a journalist. She’s the crazy member of a mom’s Facebook group who they keep around because everyone secretly likes reading her crazy, crazy posts.

Her scenes in TLJ were about as strong as her scenes in TFA, which was also kinda of so so at best. Leia Poppins was shockingly bad though.

They seemed really squeamish about saying Anakin killed his wife, as if that’s a bridge too far, even though he’s just slaughtered a temple full of children.

That’s not a fair comparison.

This moment is beyond fan theory retconning. There is no retcon powerful enough to erase how badly written this death sequence is. Not without reshooting the movie and completely changing it, special edition style.

The issue was that she managed to survive an explosion that blew up and killed literally everyone else on her ship.

Further, she was floating in space, uncovered, for an indeterminate amount of time. I don’t know about you, but nowhere in any of the other movies did we see even the strongest Jedi/Sith existing in the

She was fine, but flying through space with the force was, how do I put this politely, very stupid.

Star Wars has never been a particularly subtle series. I’m not interested in fan theories that explain why Padme died or that Palpatine secretly stole her life force. George Lucas wrote a bad death for this character.

Anything else is just a retcon.

The new movies acknowledge the prequels. Kylo Ren mentions a clone army in the first one and Luke briefly recounts the rise of Darth Sidious in the new one. There’s not a lot of reason to dwell on those events 50something years later, honestly.

Not that important, but it wasn’t in the opening segment of the show but about 65% of the way through before the final commercial and segment. I happened to be watching, unfortunately. I’ve been able to mildly enjoy hate watching this knob, but after this nonsense, it’s off the DVR.
