Oh my honey, if your migraines are 2 - 3 days, the doctor should have prescribed you imitrex unless you have risk factors like me. 2-3 day migraines even if duller ones are just not ok to have to suffer through.

I have not had that effect from topamax : those side effects sound like fun! I actually have been losing weight pre topamax and topamax seems to have slowed the weight loss weirdly. But fewer migraines...

I am so sorry that it didn’t work for you; i hope you found ssomething else that prevented migraines or stopped their pain.

This is my second go round with topamax. First time while still ramping up the dosage, I got all the classic side effects (muzzy brain, numb hands and arms); this time new specialist had me ramp up much much slower and much lower dose so not the classic side effecrs but seeming that i have been on it long enough now…

I work for a horrible employer but i do have good insurance (i pay for the top plan they offer) so i might be covered for more expensive med.

I already have fine hair and have recently been experiencing thinning due to one of the several vital-to-staying-alive meds that i am on. I am currently in the position where benefits outweigh side effects but damn, why as a woman does a side effect have to be thinning hair.
