I think Lady Gaga is a very talented singer with a powerhouse of a voice, but this take on “Imagine” just doesn’t do it for me; I think her voice sounds thin and flat. I get why people love it, though, so vive la différence!

You rank the Dead Weather under the Raconteurs? Travesty.

I’m happy that California water wasters are facing so much scorn, but let’s be real here, in terms of too-voracious water consumption the real problem isn’t the private residences of the rich, it’s the agricultural operations that we all support.

You know, when I was a little girl, my moms good friend was Puerto Rican. I loved how she sounded. I loved how she cooked. As I grew up I studied Spanish and learned to cook that way. THATS ALL THAT HAPPENED.

Forget the ridiculous third reason for a moment. Why do there seem to be so many otherwise intelligent people who don’t seem to understand that the vast majority of the time it’s not appropriate to act on your sexual impulses? Literally everyday of the week I work with and walk by women that I am attracted to,

This isn’t about how liberal you might or might not be. This isn’t a fucking litmus test. If Stewart was supporting a baker’s right to refuse to serve gay couples cakes that they’d make for anyone else I might agree with you, but that’s not what he’s doing. Since I would fight for a feminist baker’s right to decline

I am gay and see crystal clear how it’s a violation of free speech: The government is compelling the bakery to produce an item that contains a political message it disagrees with. Pretty clear violation of freedom of speech principles right there.

I want to preface my response by saying that I absolutely am strongly in favor of gay rights and think that under anti-discrimination laws, a baker should have to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple just as for any other couple. But this wasn’t a wedding cake, it was a cake with a specific message on it saying

Even as someone who is also extremely pro-gay rights, I do think there’s something to the argument that a baker should not be required by law to make a cake that says “Support Gay Marriage,” as opposed to being required by anti-discrimination law to just make a cake for a gay couple’s marriage.

I was actually very happy with Peggy and Joan’s final stories. The characters are foils for each other. Joan has historically relied on her looks or on the men in her life in order to get ahead, and here in the finale, she says goodbye to a perfect man offering her anything in order to forge a new career path alone,

I really don’t think Sally hates Don. He might think she does, but I don’t think she actually does. She just sees him as a flawed person, and she’s also angry and sad and scared.

I went out with Conor Oberst a couple of times. The sex was meh, but I broke it off when he came over to my parents’ house for dinner and pretended like he didn’t know what a potato was. It was obvious to everyone that it was just a shitty joke that he refused to abandon, and my dad eventually kicked him out. I mean,

A lot of golf courses use recycled water. Also, we could pretty much cut out ALL urban water use and still have a water shortage. Lawns and showers really aren't the problem - agriculture is. It's hard to take any state mandated water conservation efforts seriously when they don't address agricultural water usage.

Hi Madge

AMEX, until very recently, wouldn’t allow a password of >6 characters. Alphanumeric only.

I'm a long time IKEA shopper... but you failed to point out or admit that the solid wood furniture that IKEA sells is way more expensive and kind of overpriced. I've found that if you are looking for something that's solid wood, IKEA is NOT really the place to get it from...
