Have you been to any other music festivals? They honestly aren't all that different from each other. Coachella, Lollapalooza, Voodoo, Glastonbury, etc. Live bands on stages, bad weather, overpriced drinks, lots and lots of drunk people, etc.
Burning Man isn't really a music thing so much as a rich old hippies doing weird naked dances in the desert thing. They really are not of a kind at all. And tickets for Burning Man tend to be just as high if not higher than Coachella.
I imagine Colbert is like any other actor out there, and that eventually it gets kind of old playing the same character over and over and over again. The best thing you can do if you're going to continue using XP is to create a limited user account. And definitely do not use Internet Explorer to do anything.
Windows XP has a 29% worldwide market share. I think it works out to something like 500 million machines.
RE: The WD 1TB My Passport, Sams Club has been running a special on those for only $39. You can't get it online but if you go into a local club you might find one. The one near me still has a ton of them. It's the definitely the cheapest I've ever seen a 1 TB drive.
