That joke was nicked from Seinfeld? JC DoubleXP is lazy.

Hear that everybody? Don’t worry, Lafcadio Fern has everything under control because they possess the ability to see into the future and there is no reason to panic, this is all a bunch of nothing...
I was under the impression that there is some sort of global gentlemen’s agreement between states that you don’t assassinate key personnel because it’s really really easy to do and, if everyone starts doing it, it leads to global chaos.
This seems to be pointless. I’ve been using a device known as “The Straw” for all my drinking needs when I don’t want to lift a cup up into a vision obstructing manner.
Now that I’ve read the post, I’m disappointed. I thought it was so the drivers could keep their eyes on the track.
Syd’s designs were the inspiration for the Imperial Walkers in The Empire Strikes Back.
He also worked on Yamato 2350, and he had a horde of admirers and imitators in Japan. He basically defined the look of anime tech.
He is also immortalized as the only American to ever do mecha designs for Mobile Suit Gundam making the decisive but unquestionably Meadian designs of the Turn A Turn X and SUMO Gundams.
So you mention surgery for a vocal cord, but don’t think it’s relevant *at all* to mention her being in constant pain from a botch reassignment surgery in Thailand... including tweeting about it right before her death?
I think you’re ruining it with this crude warning showing up first in the comments.
Haha, nobody should watch that movie! The first two acts are textbook lifetime thriller, and after that, it just devolves into a grievous misunderstanding of child PTSD and what video games even are. And, it does that to cash a pathos check that 100% bounces.
The problem with the whole “it’s wheels off insane” is that it doesn’t actually get too wheels off. The whole process of the big twist being unveiled is just so ... boring.
Oh man, I love Serenity. Quick correction, though. It stars Nathan Fillion, not Matthew McConaughey.
I think you’ve mistaken which Serenity..
I saw it. It’s a meh for me and the whole video game for therapy trope is as old and tired as the hollywood people who came up with it.
This movie was so awful, and to recommend someone go and spend any amount of time or money to watch this is absurd. This is not a movie about video games, and the outlandish twist only served to ruin what could have been a tense thriller.
There’s only one Serenity and it ain’t some dumb movie with Matthew McConaughey.
I like Adam Driver, and I, too, think he’s a normal guy. But AVClub goes out of its way to defend the “cool” celebs it thinks deserve defending. Walking out of an interview because someone played a clip from a project you are there to promote is not particularly “normal” and certainly not something that, say, Kevin…
Seems totally bizarre that they carted the thing all over the world to different expos without ever being paid or reimbursed. I have a friend who works for a company that manages comic book conventions, and this definitely seems like something that should be paid for. They pay actors all the time to just show up.
Don’t care about reviews, don’t care about people loving or hating any of the other movies. I have my own opinions and I’m going to see this and enjoy the spectacle. While I may or may not enjoy the entire movie, I am not going to say it shattered my world view and everything now sucks because that’s just dumb.
