Wow, interesting takes on the books…
I found them to be very good, not polished or high-end from either a comic or literary perspective (speaking as an English major and Comic geek) but very honest and real. Yes, at many points it is a bit obsessive and monomaniacal perhaps, but I think its well illustrated that

This album is really, really good…
I downloaded this from iTunes after reading this review, and it did not disappoint. I think I might like this more than Fishscale.

I like the Zapper
I like it, although the Zelda game is just OK, nothing special, I really like Ghost Squad, my only complaint is that its too short, which makes sense since its a light gun game. My GF bought a second one two days after I got it because she liked playing Ghost Squad so much she wanted to do it 2

We need Samples.
This is why the RIAA and such being so stick-in-the-mud about online music is so retarded. If you could just post a full song sample of bands being referenced as hotlinks, then people could listen to them and get a clear bit of context (even moreso as you can pick a song that supports the comparison

A horrible movie
I agree with nearly every point in this review. I did have an Ex-GF who loved this movie, but more for her teenage crush on Elijah Wood than for the movie itself. It was probably bordering on inappropriate, since she was already close to 18 when the movie came out ;)

BMB
"and glib, faux-natural dialogue of the Brian Michael Bendis variety."

Am I just too young?
I've listened to this album, and it did nothing to defuse the deep hatred I have for the man and his music. Perhaps I'd have a different perspective if I'd heard it first, but I remember hating his music almost at the same point I knew who he was (I think I was 8 or 9 years old) and have never

Lucas<Tartakovsky
Thats what really underscored just how crappy Episode I and II were for me, watching Tartakovsky's animated series and realizing that there were more action scenes of higher quality contained in an single episode (less than 15min in length usually) of that than in either of the movies. Thats the real

Gender playing a part?
Who thinks that if this had been a female teacher then she probably doesn't get fired? I'm not trying to claim familiarity with the case (though I have read this comic), but it wouldn't surprise me if that was a factor in the decision to fire him.

Bah, sounds inferior to "1602"
I've had to tell my GF several times this is probably going to suck, and now here is some confirmation from a (usually) reliable source.

Demolition Man
I'm gonna third the nomination of this great movie for this feature. Not only was it hilarious and had decent action sequences, it has Wesley Snipes as basically evil Homicidal Dennis Rodman. In fact, I'd say its easily one of the top 3 or 4 movies Stallone ever starred in…and thats despite my hatred

More than _slightly_
I also disagree with the All-Star Superman crack…because I think its _very_ overrated. Seems like a case where somebody who has and will again do brilliant writing (Morrison) is getting a bit of a pass from people on something that has consistently failed to impress me. Its not horrible…its just

Long Day's Journey
Long Day's Journey into night is another film I'd put on this list (the 60s version with Dean Cain and Hepburn in it), technically it was a play first so may not count for this, just thought I would not it. Had a relatively recent (last 2 years) DVD release if anybody is interested. Like the list

Game Rocks
At Zodiac: Just let your arms rest on your legs, and play primarily with your wrists if necessary. Most of the stuff in the game (or any Wii games) requires little actual motion.

Nice Piece
My first reactions when I saw this piece was "how can they pick just 18", that year was amazing for music in general, but you did a good job of not only picking a mostly solid 18, but giving almost all the other deserving albums from that year a mention at the end. Only one I can think of not mentioned was

Might give this a shot
Good review, a movie I wasn't that interested in, that I might give a shot now that I've read this.

Billy Bob>Who?
"Thornton is one of America's finest actors"

Stop Billy Bob Thornton before he films again!
Seriously, I'm pretty sure watching one of his movies for more than 10 minutes can cause a noticeable drop in IQ. That, and the banner I saw today which advertised the movie as "Stifler vs Slingblade".

Lets Hunt and Kill Billy Ray Cyrus
Damn, he was on TV last night (dunno where, I was speed flipping and just saw his name as I passed) and I couldn't stop thinking that if only that show were on there might be something to watch. Plus, with Reality TV such a hit nowadays it would be guaranteed ratings!

Metroid is so good
I just feel sorry for anybody over 7 years old who is somehow playing this game instead…including you Gus, I hope you get to review it next week.
