No, i’m pretty sure you must not actually work in this industry if you think its 2 years from design concept to production. Trademarking the name is nothing, our company re-ups trademarks all the time.

Time will tell, however i’m pretty sure it will land with better reviews than ordinary GT.

Well the fact that the GT86/BRZ is getting another generation is a good sign. 

Not really, Toyota has showed the car very few times. Its auto journalists who post every single snippet of info they get that makes this car seem like it is taking so long. Very different the the NSX which actually changed design over the course of many years. 

I’m the exact opposite, as long as the car turns out making the power, price, and driving dynamics I am expecting I will be trading my M3 in on one. 

You don’t want to get the average Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc that will be at every cars and coffee all around the US. You want something unique, something with a limited production, something that a true enthusiast would chose.

I agree there are some very bad hardtops, but I like the SL especially the R230. The hardtop is not a cure-all as far as convertibles go. I’m ok with weight in my convertible. 

I don’t care how much you pay a soft top convertible looks cheap and bad. Idk why I can get over soft tops but I just can’t stand them.

When I use to sell cars the main thing was ingress/egress. Once most 55 year olds try the SUV’s they really don’t want to go back to low cars. Blame aging bodies and joints.

I can also imagine Porsche’s sales if they did. The Macan is fine for what it is. Not everyone wants to be sitting on the ground in a Golf R or GTI.

Yea, I don’t see them putting it in the base cars but I don’t think its too crazy to see them use it for their high power applications. Maybe start phasing out the V6 in the coming years for their turbo 4.
