Vera usually brings the show to a grinding halt, but her encounter w/Stevie was wonderfully creepy.

Same for Max Beesley. He seems to using his natural accent as well. I was afraid they were going to make him another snoot who talks like the queen, as so often happens on shows like these. They did that w/Apollo from BSG on Perception last summer. He sounded bizarre.

Interesting how there is nothing at all about Fausto that says "I'm a powerful & dangerous leader of a criminal organization." He looks & dresses like an average José.

I'm having a hard time figuring out a plausible way for Ruiz & Cross to work together again in the future. I'm sure the show will find a way, I just hope it's not too terribly contrived.

I think maybe we were to believe that a bit more time elapsed from when they went to look for Cousin Johnny & when Lillard found him. That was maybe the point of showing Lillard in the van, to imply that they were sitting in there for a while while the search was going on. I'm probably wrong.

Never understood wallets, or why anyone would voluntarily sit on one every time they sat down. There's gotta be a better way, even if it's necessary to keep several documents & cards on your person. Suppose that explains man purses.

Don't know, but it sure is fun to imitate. An interesting character trait to choose. He does seem kindred w/Sonya. Maybe they know each other.

It didn't necessarily need to be Gedman doing the drop. Any ol' FBI agent would've been equally appalled at what was shown on the phone at the bar, & any ol' agent's decapitation would've served the killer's purpose. So just a happy coincidence that Gedman was sent in. Maybe.

Yes. Besides, he's not a serial killer in the usual TV sense. He has killed to make a point, not because he gets off on killing. Anyway, as our esteemed reviewer notes, the strengths of the series are in the characters & world-building. We shouldn't let the shortcuts stand in the way of our enjoyment. And for all we

They're going more for interpretation rather than translation. BBC does the same for its foreign dramas. It can be a bit frustrating at times. But it keeps us wannabe multilinguists on our toes.

Now that's more like it, the Suits of old. Plenty of humor, a bit of drama thrown in, a good dose of Louis. Not the overbaked, wannabe AMC-type show. Back to its strengths. This show had become far too serious for its own good in the past year.

The stolen money – I think you've solved the mystery. Which is kind of a problem, that the show hasn't really bothered to tell us exactly. But that's the best explanation I've come across.

Yeah, he brought the paperwork home so the cops wouldn't find it. Also, him & Avi finding the agent's Wall of (not really) Crazy was a pretty goddamn big development.

Sounds like Midsomer Murders.

I thought/think that Ezra was just saying he has a brain tumor because he's crazy, not because he has a brain tumor. Anything that gets Elliot Gould off the show would be fine, though.

What struck me was how much Robert Plant sounded like he did on Pictures at Eleven, rather than earlier Zeppelin. Which makes sense, of course, but I'd never thought of it that way.

Willa may be awful in many ways, but looks is not one of them. She can replace Nora as hot woman/terrible character.

He'll always be the guy from X-Files (or was it Millennium) with the vibrating eyes, which is where I first saw him.

There's always money for prisons because many are privately operated.

Well, that makes perfect sense, Ms. Woll, because people in real life never take off their clothes, either. Uphold that artistic integrity.
