So what happens if Rollo just comes out & kills Ragnar (yeah, I know it won't happen?) Ragnar killed Gabriel Byrne in a duel, so everyone was cool with it. Rollo & Ragnar must have different father or mother, which in turn could fuel a sibling rivalry. They look nothing like each other, even making allowances for this being a TV family.

Now now, let's not judge Ragnar's "cheating" by modern standards. Could be that it's perfectly acceptable to go looking for more bearers of lineage when your old lady can't provide the service herself. I imagine the Jarl makes the rules himself, & blames any fallout on the gods.

I think Uppsala is only every 9 years, iirc. They'd decimate their ranks if they did that every year.

How is Cary turning into a mix of Will & Peter? Maybe I have pro-Cary blinders on, but I don't recall him doing anything overtly unethical, nor stepping on people to further his career.

I thought so as well – hurried & messy – mostly due to the courtroom rigamarole, which quickly got old for me, probably because I just can't stand Martha Plimpton. Could've done with less courtroom & more Peter vs Will + Eli.

Perhaps Eli can join Alicia & Cary? Though in real life he probably would become Peter's chief of staff. Surely that won't happen. We need as much Eli as possible.
