I made the mistake of watching a show called Vincent on Amazon where in one episode he played a learning-disabled man. I can't see him without expecting him to sound kind of retarded. He's a much better psychopath.

We also finally got extended scenes of Joseph Gilgun going off in whatever direction his diseased mind takes him. This show is at its best when he's allowed to just do whatever he thinks is funny. The man's bizarre mix of boorish asshole & sensitive doofus is one of the funniest things on TV, if only they'd let him do

Yeah, alright, can't really argue with that, it's just that I can't think of another reason why Estes wants Saul out of the way when everyone else is off trying to catch Nazir. Estes is Saul's boss, if Saul doesn't like what his boss does, it shouldn't matter. Except in this case it appears to matter very much. So I'm

Like the black restaurant joke, though, they didn't dwell on it. I'm a bit slow, but I had to think about the SJP one for a moment, and laughed at how they just slipped it in there. I guess what I'm saying is I can argue that every joke or comment or sight gag worked for me. This was on par with the Tunjee episode in

I liked the black restaurant joke because they tried to just slip it in there without calling attention to it. There wasn't a pause for an imagined ba-dum-bum "hey we just told a joke here" moment, it was just part of the conversation. The effect was on the order of "hey, wait a minute…what?" As a joke itself, not so

Let's say Estes is a desperate man now, with his lord & protector (of their secret, child-killing drone strike) now dead. That secret could come out any moment & destroy Estes' career. He's got a seemingly easy out in getting rid of Brody. And if it all goes tits up he's still got the "but Brody was a terrorist" card

Here's to Saul having a plan to outfox Estes, something to do with leaking info on Walden's drone attack. Perhaps the media noise over that would enable Saul to somehow escape being charged with revealing classified information.

Lester was introduced as head of HR earlier this season, but has yet to have much screen time. I'd very much like to see an Elias v Lester showdown, though. Maybe this season is building toward that.

SNL gave an alternate pronunciation of Mendoza, at least 20 years ago, in a skit with Jimmy Smits. Basically the anglicized version, without any Spanish accent.

Finch seemingly telling Demon8 more about D than he probably knew about himself was appropriately chilling. I loved the guy's "how the fuck do you know where I live" look. Only guy on TV with similarly mad hack skills is Birkhoff on Nikita. But Birkoff didn't build an electronic panopticon, so Finch wins.
