I thought it might be Towelie's "Won't you take me down to 'Funkytown'"

Is that good or bad? I have no problem with Julie Benz. She was in Taken & Roswell. I mean, she's also in A Gifted Man, but so is Margo Martindale. However/regardless, I'd rather watch Laura Allen any day.

I can see where the grade comes from, but Jason Isaacs & Laura Allen are so good, the rest of it is hardly of any consequence. He played a detective in a UK short series last summer, Case Histories, in which he was also totally awesome. I know he's been around for quite some time, but I only fell under his spell

Personally, I can't get enough of "Cartman is an obnoxious asshole" episodes. Of course, with those you get people complaining about another tired "Cartman is an obnoxious asshole" episode, whereas with tonight's & similar we get complaints that it's another tired political episode which they did better 10 years ago.

Am I the only one who just pees in the bathroom sink? Doesn't make a mess & requires less effort. Helps that I'm the only one who uses this particular bathroom.

I enjoyed this mostly for the caricaturing of TSA employees. I've assumed that they were recruited en masse from fast food chains. And that they're all morbidly obese black people. Guess I'm not the only one.

Is it not Marcus Gilmer?

I just realized that one thing that made the Lydia attack scene so intense is that on this show there is absolutely no guarantee that a character will make it out alive when something like that happens. I had no idea.

Yeah, great point. I didn't even realize the show doesn't do music. No wonder Lydia's attack came across as so gutwrenching. Jesus, her pleading "please," just thinking about it, damn, unlike anything else on TV.

Social awkwardness is often the curse of genius.

I've said that here before a few times, but then I (over)thought — there's also the fact that Coop & Ben's power dynamic will have changed dramatically. Coop's authority over Ben, and his reliability as a partner to Ben, was fatally compromised by Coop's addiction. I can't imagine either would want to have anything to

Mr A has it right. A little Dewey goes a long way.

So true. This show makes me tense like no other, and usually I don't even realize it until it's over. Goddamn, that pimp shoot & chase was so frighteningly real. I was so sick of Sammy's righteousness, then suddenly I feel like breaking down & telling him how sorry I am. Just when I thought we were decompressing from

I'm sure there are plenty more SPoS in the Harlan area, but I do wish they'd stop killing so many or putting them in jail. I'd really like to see Dewey & Dickie on the outside again. Not sure how that could happen w/o stretching suspension of disbelief to unmanageable levels. But of course, the reason we lament the

There's no need to make people cry around here. Life is hard enough as it is.

I have nothing to base this on, but in my memory last season's Mags story felt like it took place over several months, like more than half a year. Don't know why that is, it's all subjective.

Ava is capable of handling herself, but in Boyd's business, too many chiefs & not enough Indians can lead to trouble down the road. Their last scene together hints at that trouble.

I'm told that's a hallmark of Elmore Leonard stories, which makes me want to read his books. For some reason I had the notion in my head that he wrote gossipy Hollywood biographies or something. Not sure how I'd mix him up with Kitty Kelly, but there you have it.
