@EmmaWK:disqus Exactly what I said above. There is always room for a show like this in my schedule. The Machine is a laughably ridiculous, yet amusing, concept. So I get equal parts humor & satisfying violence. It's strangely compelling.

For me it's just Michael Emerson + wish fulfillment, where I wish I was a badass who could beat the crap out of anyone/shoot with pinpoint accuracy/always be absolutely certain I was doing the right thing. Whether it's a police procedural, fantasy or whatever makes no difference to me. Carter, Fusco & Elias are

I don't buy Elias' assertion that he knew Reese wouldn't let the kid come to harm. Elias has a black heart. He doesn't care about children, or anyone else. He used Reese, plain & simple, and continues to play him. They have nothing in common, but so long as Reese thinks they do, he'll continue to be putty in Elias'

This show isn't so bad. It's weird to see Linus & Jesus work together, but Henson has grown on me as well. I'm not usually big on the conscience-of-the-show kind of character, but she's so sincere about wanting to do the right thing it's impossible to resist her charms. The cases of the week aren't ever particularly

REAPER!!!!

Give us back the shotgun-wielding Lydia already. Pregnant Lydia + Reuben = dull & boring. Though, to be fair, their cases have been interesting, if not exciting.

Wife & I felt the same thing about Reuben, then he said "people shouldn't have children if they don't have the time to raise them," and we looked at each other & said "yeah, that actually makes sense."

It's hard to make Ms. Morgan look less than fine, but they did their best. She looked like a hollow-eyed skank.

Without the strong, guiding hand of Cooper, Richie Rich is rudderless. Maybe he never had his shit together to begin with? His decision to be a cop was an emotional, rather than a cold, rational one. He never thought much beyond "must…get…bad guys." He's unprepared for the long spells of boredom, punctuated by

I can't look at De without hearing "where the fuck is Wallace?" in my head.

Re: Dewey's softer side — the looks he gave Tang through the windows before going in to talk with her? CTH should be in silent films. Those alone would bump up the grade half a point for me.

I quit 3 weeks ago but, as ever with godawful shows like this one, the reviews & comments are better than the show. Unfortunately, the worse the show, the fewer the comments. I can't imagine this one's going to see a 2nd season.

At the time, I thought it was an FBI agent planting a bug in Raylan's car.

the show was pretty efficient and basically made sense

The idea of colloidal silver is lazy & annoying at best. At least make up something that sounds interesting. The slightest bit of Internet research will confirm the laughable nature of this folly to anyone still watching the show. I only watch this for the implied promise of aliens. If colloidal silver makes you

Surely there are worse TV skeletons in your closet? I wouldn't shout it from the mountain tops, but I did earlier this evening admit to watching it after asking another TV addict if they were going to watch tonight. I was met with a blank stare.

I just had to comment that Jason Behr plays a really good psychopath. He was a little pussy on Roswell, but here I think he's found his calling. I hope he gets more work from this.

I don't understand why Alicia would be threatened at all. Unless she thinks Caitlin will suddenly leap frog over her for promotion, junior associates only need to worry about whether there's enough to work to go around to justify them keeping their jobs. Given their experience, it doesn't make sense for there to be an

Was I imagining things or was Caitlin basically mimicking Nancy's first appearance on the show? The aw shucks demeanor masking the mean girl thing. That was pretty cool & funny, seeing Nancy be out-Nancied. Plus it's fun to try to see her mom in Mamie Gummer.

The one detail nobody talked about even once today was the fact that Randall played sniper & tried to pick off Rick & friends. I guess ultimately they just either forgot about it or didn't thing it mattered. Not sure if I'm referring to the writers or the characters.
