Do AV Club Reviewers get paid by how many times Trump is referenced in an article? Because regardless of content it, seems like he is mentioned constantly.

Wow, two of my favorites in the same post. By which I mean BSoR and RbtR. Someone (who wasn't me) posted East Bay Ray's "Pull My Strings" last night but it seems to not be here today. My addition was (gulp) Steve Vai on PiL's "Ease"

They tried to sell that band by the fact that the singer (maybe, maybe
it was the other fellow) was in some fundamentalist cult and had only
heard 3 albums his whole life and that this was the pure expression of
his musical knowledge. But yeah, I am not a fan

Double quatro, that's good stuff. I'm 46, definitely not cool, never was, but now surveys on the interweb discount my age group's opinion entirely. Chili's and Office Depot why have you forsaken me?

OB/GYN is the highest on average, but yes, Anesthesiology is also high. The trite saying of dispensing anesthesia is "99% Boredom, 1% Abject Terror". It's pretty mundane when it is going as planned, but when things get sideways it becomes terrifying. Medicine is no longer the wonderful field it once was. Still a

Unfortunately, the only stuff available here in AZ are the Screamer 6 packs. Even the Red label is scarce. When I get back to WNY (increasingly uncommon, sadly) I like to try what I can't get here. The Winter Bock and 12 Horse Ale are some of my past faves. Love the logos too.

My friend used Celebration Rock to train as it was the perfect length to get him to the top of Piestewa (ne Squaw) Peak while prepping for a hike of the Grand Canyon. I use it on the treadmill too, or more commonly to sing along to in my car and look like a lunatic to anyone observing me.
See them if you can.

He also feels like that about "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" even though it is the best AV Club cover ever (smh at 2016)

Allegedly, from Ted's twitter feed a month or so back, Rx is recording a new album, and hopefully we can assume a tour will follow. Saw Chris Wilson drumming for Titus Andronicus on their last run through my town.

I enjoyed reading this self analysis. Ted Leo and The Pharmacists are not to be missed if you can see them live. Of course I missed their last tour and then they went and disappeared for oh, 6 years. I also would like to check out the Both, who have done an Xmas tour the last year or two. Basically, what I'm

It is. Covered by fIREHOSE on "Flyin' the Flannel" and also by Watt solo. It was a live act staple for both groups because Watt dd the vocals.

As a fan of his first B&P album I am glad to see it resurrected. It's an unsung classic.

There are a litany of bands that were all early aughts- "Rock is back!" Best Buy loss leader groups that released an album of middling songs for 6 bucks or less. D4, and the Datsuns, spring to mind. I bought them all and sold most back at some point…

I find that hysterical, more so than the CDs Modell keeps. A library exclusively consisting of Prank Call CDs. My 12 year old nephew would think that's simply awesome. I think the logic of it is he can find all the other stuff on streaming sites or YouTube or whatnot, but those prank call CDs are gold and unable to

I love my physical media. My only lament is when I die all the stuff that was so important to me and is what I consider to be a quite superb library that has taken me a lifetime to amass is just going to end up with a shrug and many trips to the landfill for whoever settles my "estate".

I too am 45 and I definitely agree with your latter point. I still enjoy finding new music, and though the music might be new, I tend to gravitate toward music that is similar to stuff that I liked in the past. I'm not covering new ground, and I'm not trying hard to convince myself that I like Beyonce, Kanye or

I think the title of this series should be "Modell!: Decimating his CD collection right along with the AV Club." For a guy that worked at a record store for 11 years he certainly has some peculiar things that he finds unnecessary along with gaping holes in canonical stuff for men of his age.

Perhaps, but at this point I have no idea what columns exist or have been cut. They seem to disappear with minimal warning. If there is a sea change on the site or a change in direction or focus the AV Club hasn't exactly been forthright about letting its readers know.

That's fine for when I sit on my porch shaking fists at tweens, but doesn't help my case for shorter entertaining pieces I can fit in between tasks while at work
