I guess that's the problem. I keep getting older, the AV Club needs to appeal to the youngsters, and I no longer fit into the demographic. Any suggestions on other websites for us people of "more discriminatin' tastes"?

I have no idea where to post this but it is an earnest and sincere question and that seems to fit the bill for O R-L's usually overwrought albums….

There was a time (like '88-'93) when those guys were actually a fun show. Used to be described on stage as a bunch five year olds looking for a place to pee. Then they kicked out the drummer and moved into full on adult contemporary and the rest is history.

I believe what what I read in print media that has basically been described as the new scourge on America.

Well, this HAS to be better than last year's sad try at relevancy to millennials. But I'm confident that it is easily ruined by a bunch of bands who play only recorders, or an effort to be novel, play the songs with the highest "rock" potential slowed down to a crawl and played with klezmers or some such nonsense.

I still recall almost verbatim a story (read in SPIN- Billy Idol on the cover, 1985 or so) regarding the BHS and their disregard for REM. Gibby said they wanted to park the BHS van in front of the REM house with this painted on the side

While the latter is inarguably an excellent comic strip, it burned very brightly for a short time but it was less than a decade in length.

Am I the only person that actually like his rock/space metal output?  I had III/IV on repeat from all of January and half of February.
