I thought the same thing. I really would have hoped they'd take out Williamsburg first.

No arguments there. Did you read the source material, Joe Lansdale's novel? I think an anticlimax is easier to pull off in fiction vs. film. Same goes for the Hap & Leonard series.
I thought Cold in July was terrific, and he absolutely nailed that role.
Yeah, bummer - you definitely miss his presence when you watch TCM nowadays. Here's the AV Club obit: http://www.avclub.com/artic…
I don't mind Ben Mankiewicz - he can come off a little pompous and douchey - but TCM just isn't quite the same.
To your last point, that was something Robert Osborne (RIP) mentioned before airing it on TCM. In answer to the question "What kind of movie is this? Action? War? Sci-fi? Horror?" The answer was "It's a Schwarzenegger movie."
I think with Zappa in particular we need note which era as part of the response. I'd be ecstatic with anything 60s-70s.
Ever read that Stephen King story "You Know They Got a Hell of a Band"? This would pretty much be my lineup.
That is amazing. I feel lucky I got to see Ray White perform that one with Dweezil's band a couple years ago.
Tie: Frank Zappa and Johnny Cash.
I agree. And I ain't kiddin', neither.

You mean, like, hanging someone with hooks through their skin mean? I hear you though. I didn't love Yakuza Apocalypse, but Audition, Hara-Kiri (remake), 13 Assassins - any one of those are lifetime pass good.
Why is Miike referred to as an asshole in this article? And even if he is, so what? He's easily in my top ten (maybe five) most interesting filmmakers working today.
My dentist's name is Crentist.
This is almost completely tangential, but in one of the Star Wars' novelizations (I think it was A New Hope, but this was many, many years ago when I read it), there was an amazing snippet of dialogue from Darth Vader that didn't make it into the film, but should have: "Never assume, Captain. The universe is full of…
Laughing at the Four Winds?
Sort of like how many of the actors in Spartacus (the Starz show) didn't bother trying to cover their Australian & New Zealand accents.
Spartacus: Blood and Sand
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 47%
Critics Consensus: "Over the top and weighted down with excessive slo-mo action fights, Spartacus is pure bad camp."
Boy, am I glad I disregarded that take…
Like the zombies in World War Z. They made them look like Scrubbing Bubbles.
