I love a lot of brands, I love all types of cars/trucks, but at the end of the day, I must admit that I am a HUGE BMW fanboy and I love BMW much more than I admit would be healthy. My family has had 11 of them.....and although my father was the one who introduced me to the brand when be bought his first 330i in 2003,

you can get them with xdrive 335i/435i

lol. Jalopnik has to e-mail BMW to confirm? Google “BMW 2016 order guide” and you can confirm you can still get a 6 speed RWD 228i/328i/428i.

they’re very popular in russia/ukraine

Will we ever see the Mazda 2 again in the US?

Do US spec manual-transmission Mazda’s have rev-hang? If so, is this the only way to make the car emissions compliant?

Thanks for the quick response! I’m surprised that europeans prefer “softer” mazdas... are all-season tires an “american” thing?

Hey Dave, how do US spec mazdas differ from their EU or Japanese counterparts? Are American mazdas “softer”?

Tell that to Manheim Auto Auctions around the US. Or copart LOL

the clutch delay valve doesn’t cause rev-hang. It will just make your shifts a little sloppier if you don’t have your seating position right. Plus, M3s don’t rev-hang, it’s mostly just the V8 bummers that do. At least, my e36 and f22 don’t have rev hang.

E39 M5s have a very heavy flywheel stock, with lots of rev hang. That’s why people go through clutches like crazy.

do you guys have glass roads? The roads in PA/NJ/NY will ruin your suspension well before 100k, LOL. And wow, sounds like the glass was too tight on the 128i. I’ve heard of stuff like that happening to cars with frameless doors.

My family has had 9, though I’ve only owned three personally. Clearly you love them regardless of their issues, so i think you agree with me subconsciously.

You really think your shocks and struts were good at 150-250k? That’s just not possible. Suspension and rubber components wear and tear, especially the type that provide some sort of road communication and feedback. FYI you may be right. I’ve owned an e46 330, e36 328i, mk6 VW GLI, and now an M235i 6 speed. I LOVE

What car do you expect to withstand abuse without being worn out after 100k? Hell, American cars (pre late 2000s) are DONE at 40k. No car today is made to last forever.

This is complete BS. If you wrote this article about an econobox, I’d agree. My 2012 VW GLI had a terrible manual. But my M235i, which shares its manual with all other N55/S55 cars, including the new M3/4 had the best BMW manual I’ve ever experienced, end of story. While all 6 cyl Bimmers had great manuals, the V8

Though I probably won’t be buying one in the new future, this is a big deal to me. I’m glad that we’re finally getting some of the cars and vans that are available everywhere else in the world except for America. I can never wrap around my head around the idea that the rest of the world has way more options than we
