Can we get a HIGH-REVVING twin turbo V6?

LOL. I drove a brand new WRX and have driven my friends 2012 STI, I own a M235i. I loved the previous ten WRX/STI but the current WRX has nasty rev hang, an overly sensitive throttle, and the seating position of a minivan. I'd rather drive a 320i than a WRX. If the STI is the same way, I wouldn't consider it either.

ישר כח!

I don't know if you're being sarcastic but I'm the same way! LOL

Tavarish, I think you are seriously mistaken. Not everyone WANTS to own a car. My parents want to rent a BMW, enjoy it new and issue free. That way, they don't worry about maintenance or wear and tear....plus they can use their money in their small businesses rather than invest it in a depreciating money pit. it costs

What BMW writes in its owner manuals contradicts this article.....

We used to have this car in the states. It was called the B6 Passat wagon….

I like leasing new BMWs, because i can enjoy them without having to replace every single rubber/plastic part, like you would on one with more than 50-60k miles. Cars are not investments, and by leasing, you only pay for what you use.

VAG cars with more than 150hp are crap to drive with a manual. The engine mounts are too soft, and the clutch is too weak. This is from experience, i drive a 2012 mk6 Jetta GLI 6 speed. (2.0TSI)

The liquid 20k you have is better invested in something that will return a profit, not a used german car.

Amen…

Oh and BTW, i prefer leasing. That way, you always have a new car with a warranty and no headache.

I disagree with this. Financing is great - you can make small monthly payments and drive a new reliable car….that's a much better investment than occupying $2x,xxx and driving an old, unreliable, german car. I am a BMW fanboy, i've owned 2 E36s, and E46, and they are NOT great used cars for someone who does not care

The current MK6 GLI is basically the same as the 2nd gen Octavia vRS. Both are on the PQ35 platform. The mk7 GLI will be basically the same as this other than the weird trunk. Not that hard to understand.

Hey Doug! Welcome to Philly! I live only 25 minutes away in bucks county / northeast philly, maybe we can organize a little jalopnik meet at tony lukes or the art museum once you make the move.

I know the "douche" in the Audi. It was a New S4. And it was totaled. It had a lot of undercarriage damage.

"But if you want a practical performance car that can seat five, stick like mad in corners, and accelerate off the line quickly, you don't need to look much further than the GLI. I bet you could also take it for an autocross and have a blast. Then you could pick up your girlfriend, go out to dinner, and hit up Costco.
